Old and Ugly Convention

I’m exhausted. So is Jake. We think our dinner was drugged with delicious sleepyness. Or… iuo.

I got up… way too early. 9am or something like that. Had the laudnry done and lots of cleaning done before Jake got home from his first shift. And getting the laundry done by myself… that was tough. I usually make Jake transfer it from hamper -> basket -> machine because it makes me dry heave (Jake had to tell me the words for that… i love having someone to make noises at and get words in response!). The stench of a weeks worth of very stinky sweaty man-clothes is unbearable… but I did it. Go me!

And the coolest thing was: I was done and could relax and do nothing from about 1pm. Which is usually when I woke up. So that rocked a bit.

Talked with Jenn, we were doing super contests. Coz today I scored a totally hacked shiny Venusaur called DEATH with max stats in everything that is good for contests. So I used him to get all the scarves, and now I’m gonna use him to beat the master rank on all the contests. So far I have completed Smart. (Jenn – took me 2 more tries after you went to dinner. Got 2nd and then I won!)

I don’t even know if I’m gonna keep Death… I mean he’s awesome and pretty but I got him from someone who had so many hacked pokès that his game started messing stuff up and randomly deleting things every time it got turned off. So that scares me a little.

Hmm… Kristen was here earlier. We have to get a new tv, coz she is taking the one in our room once she goes back to college (at least she isn’t taking her mini fridge, that would make me more sad!) At least she has given us a few weeks notice so we don’t have to go without until we can buy a new one.

I realised today that I waited too long in deciding whether or not to send in the yellow form saying THERE IS ONE EXTRA SURNAME ON MY GREEN CARD GET RID OF IT!! (its currently Sarah MarriedName MaidenName) so my decision has been made for me on that. Now I just gotta get a social security number so I can get a drivers license and bank account. Then I shall be properly…. living here.

Shit… I have to do a road test for my license… they better not make me parallel park! That would be so cruel. Argh now I’m nervous. And it says they take your license? That better just be for out of state…

umm… for dinner we went to San Remo’s with Lisa. I had delicious gnocchi marinara that tasted like the stuff I remember getting from La Porchetta when it was good. mmm it was so good. and I ate it all, yay for not giving me a giant impossible-to-finish serving! As we were finishing up, most of the restaurant was filling up with old people… Lisa said my title. Mean, but kinda true…  Twas scary.

And now I’m sleepy. And kinda cold. We had the aircons on all day and it made the apartment all cool and right now I’m wearing thick pj pants, a fluffy jumper (actually, the one that Candice calls a warm fuzzy) and my dressing gown. And I could so go to sleep. Would be awesome. We almost fell asleep at 8pm… but thought twas too early so we made each other get out of bed. Go us.
