Nasty, frozen in time.

It’s cold this morning. It’s beautifully lovely. I’ve missed cool weather. I can’t believe today’s high was the overnight low maybe a week ago. Crazy awesome.

Ashley is being adorable, napping on the bed with her ass sticking up and pointing towards me. She’s finally gotten used to the idea of napping in the bed without needing to be fed first. She just tugs on my bra/shirt until I unhook it and then she rubs the clasp or some fabric between her fingers and within a minute or two she’s out. I think another week or so and I’ll be able to just place her in the crib for naps, half-awake. That would be AMAZING.

She learned how to roll over last week. Finally. She rolled back-to-tummy a LONG time ago, but she hated it because she doesn’t like being on her tummy, so she stopped doing it. She’s getting half-mobile now, she’ll reach for things well out of her reach and sometimes fall on her belly and she’s happy with tummy time when she initiates it like that, but now she’s really happy because she can roll over and get off her tummy if need be. She looked SO PROUD of herself the first time she did it.

I need another shirt but I can’t get one until Ash wakes up. I’m sitting next to an open window with a cool breeze. It’s kinda cruel!

Yesterday we went to New London to see Lisa & Matt. After we had planned this visit, I found out that Sunday was Grandparents Day, so that was cool that we were going to see them that day. I also had photos for them, so it was like we had a gift for them too! And Ashley had printed out one of her stories so they got that too.

We were there for 8 hours, just hanging out in their apartment. Ashley had many poop-splosions the night before (3 sets of pjs, 3 sheets, 2 mattress pads…) so we took all our laundry because why take some when it is just as much effort to take all? Unfortunately, most of the poop didn’t wash out right. I’ve never washed poop with a machine so I wasn’t sure how it would work. I usually wash all her stuff (clothes, cloths, bedding) by hand, and I KNOW how to get poop out. Had to do it again this morning, thankfully there was only 1 explosion last night.

Lisa made Jake a weird casserole for dinner. He was so excited, and he’s really excited that he has more for dinner tonight. I don’t know what I’m going to feed myself tonight. Yesterday, Lisa made me some breaded chicken, pasta, and salad. Mmm, simple and delicious.

Last night was evil. We got home at about 10, Ashley woke up in the car which was good (she usually wakes up once we’re inside and she starts CRYING) so as soon as we were upstairs I fed her and she fell back asleep. But then I had to wake her up because she was stinky and needing a change. So then I had to feed her AGAIN to get her to sleep, and then once she and Jake were asleep I still had stuff to do, so I didn’t get to bed until midnight. Normally I go to bed at 11, but that’s with an hour or so of relaxation, not lots of driving and then other things that aren’t relaxing. Bah.

So so glad I’ve had a chance to write. I HATE writing once a week. I’m so afraid I’m going to write less and less and then eventually not write anymore. I doubt that will happen, but I’ve seen it happen with so many of my faves that I know it does happen. I do read all my faves, I check my bookmark list multiple times a day (usually when Ash is napping but is holding my nipple hostage) but I can’t note because my phone keyboard is too noisy. So just know that I read you, and you’re awesome.

Log in to write a note
September 10, 2012

I’ve been writing less lately – it’s definitely a habit that needs to be kept up. It becomes really easy to just check notes/faves and then log off without writing. :-/

I hardly ever write anymore. It makes me sad.

Yes! I’m awesome! 😀

I go through writing stages so don’t feel bad! We all do it.
