“My DNA is super effective!”

My eyes hurt.

The kitchen, and partially the whole apartment, smells terrible. Like my lunch. It was delicious, but smells horrendous. Crazy leftover nando chicken.

Doctor’s appointment this morning. He saw me for a minute, possibly 2. It was very quick. He measured the fundal height, listened to the heartbeat for a quick second, asked if I had any questions (I never have any questions. What should I be asking? On the rather rare occasion that something warrants me questioning it, I google rather than wait a few weeks for the next appointment) and then ran out of there. Next appointment is with one of the midwives, Deborah, because she is nice and takes time and will actually say "the bloodwork came back all fine" unlike the doc who would not mention it if nothing needs mentioning. Having an appointment at 9 (or 10, in the case of midwives) means pretty close to an hour round trip because of traffic, so I want the appointment to feel more like it was worth it.

I almost left my coat behind as well. In fact, I would have left it behind if one of the nurses didn’t notice and get the receptionist to call after me. If I had someone accompany me, wouldn’t have been left behind, there would have been a butt in that seat and therefore they would be holding my coat.

This belly is starting to get in my way. I kind of avoid picking things up off the floor if I have to, because bending down is an effort now. I can’t dry my legs easily after a shower, have to bend and lean sideways and it just doesn’t feel that safe. Can’t sit with my legs tucked up to me, they’d have to be way off to each side in what is almost a birthing position. I find that pretty funny when I shift my seated position without thinking and realise how odd I look.

All the things either say week 27 or 28 is the start of the 3rd trimester. I’m going with week 27, purely because that is this Saturday and that’s sooner.

Yesterday both a friend and an OD person secretly announced their pregnancies (friend just to me, OD-chick faves only entry) and I thought it was amusing that I found out about 2 new baby-potentials in the same day and both are secretive. My friend I wasn’t surprised, the previous night I had had a dream of her posting positive pee tests on facebook so I kinda knew already.

And in other baby news, my cousin is pregnant with a BOY! She is Mum’s sister’s eldest, only a few months younger than me, so I am rather amused that she is about a month behind me in pregnancy too. Lucky Nanna will go from no great-grandchildren to 2, one of each, rather early next year. I should find out her due date (19th March!). BABIES! So many babies to meet when we take A to Oz next year.

I want party pies. I kind of want party pies that have been waved under a chocolate fountain. I think that is the first ‘disgusting’ craving I’ve had. And it’s already gone, now that I think more about it. Straight up party pies would be nice though. Pity I can’t get any! Stupid Australian-related cravings. I wanted a sausage in bread earlier, but Baker’s Delight bread, and just plain sausage, none of this fancy multiple-flavour crap. I think I just want a party, because I also kinda want fairy bread. With tomato sauce, of course, the way all us Moulder kids did growing up. Yum. I tried making that myself, I fail at fairy bread, I just can’t get the ratio right.

Ugh, I should really think about christmas gifts. And cards. Do you guys want a card? I’ll totally send one! Just give me your address in a private note! Probably should post that at the top of an entry as well so people actually see it. Who’s gonna read all this ramble…

Title: Jake said that the other day, when I was talking about how I keep eating things that he enjoys because baby makes me enjoy. That’s my second-favourite pokèmon reference he’s ever said, and the other is just a quote of Natey. "I can make him timid!"

Mmm, party pies. Haven’t had those for ages – although I did have a party sausage roll for breakfast. I’m so healthy. I’d love a card! I need to get your address again, too, so I can send one to you. 🙂

So many babies! I can’t wait for your little girl to be born, you and Jake are going to be awesome parents! *nods* I would love a card *nods*

I have it on good authority that chocolate goes well on party pies. Not that I’ve ever tried it. *cough* Pregnancy cravings are hilarious, some people get such bizarre cravings. I love it. Ouh, a card! I’d love one! I suppose I should write an entry soon, and put the card thing in it too. I plan on actually remembering to send them this year. *facepalm* Anyway! Address is 30 McCulloch Ave,Seaford, 3198. Yay!

LMAO at your party pie in chocolate craving … sounds bloody good to me!!

I love the party pie idea and I’m not preggas. Does that mean your craving is normal or I am crazy?

I read the rambel. I think I still have your addy 🙂

I don’t know what a party pie is (or fairy bread, for that matter), but it sounds delicious!

LMAO at the “super-effective” comment. Pure gold. 😉

It sucks to have cravings for things you can’t get. I had cravings for fries, dressing (like stuffing) and gravy when I was preggo, but you can only get dressing in Newfoundland. I tried making it myself but it wasn’t the same. I read all of your ramblings! Usually (like now) I read while breastfeeding. ~jo
