We just got done watching Carrie. The original one. I don’t like movies featuring shy girls in high school hiding behind their long hair. For one good reason. I am glad I had a few friends though, otherwise high school would’ve been as bad as italian class was once Ellen moved to another class. And I dreaded that all the time.

And I watched Saw 5 this afternoon. Why have they made so many? And they aren’t done? So so silly. At least this one didn’t seem to be trying to overdo the gore of the previous ones like all the other ones have. Or maybe that’s because it wasn’t on a huge screen and so I could pick how much attention I was paying. I am really glad we didn’t go see that in the cinema though. Especially as it would’ve been my birthday movie. I know what my birthday ‘movie’ will be this year. They better show it at the Waterbury cinema or I will be very very grrr.

Today, in between watching 2 movies, I cleaned. A lot. I had an energy drink in the fridge, leftover from the Blogathon, so I took advantage of the extra energy it would provide. Was a good, tasty one that actually had an effect so that was useful. Now I feel like our whole place is sparkly clean and that is a fantabulous feeling.

There are quite often sirens going down the street we live on, being it is Main Street, but I always hate it when they suddenly stop their whining right outside this building. Freaks me out a tad. It happened again this afternoon. At first I thought someone had called the police on the incredibly obnoxious pack of teenage boys blasting music outside our kitchen window (and also right outside the window Jake works at all day downstairs) (but there wouldn’t have been the siren if that was the case. And they were blasting backstreet boys and cyndi lauper… annoying but at least it wasn’t sweary music) but when I looked out there were 2 ambulances and a police car. And there is always a moment of "is Jake ok?" although I knwo if he wasn’t someone would’ve come up here and told me so, probably even before the ambulance arrived. Turns out he thinks the same thing when they appear. There are a lot of elderly patrons of the restaurant, Jake tells me one of them had an ‘episode’ which is all he was told. Hope everyone is ok.

Yesterday there was a grasshopper in the house! It was little and extra cute. Was hard to catch but then once I did, and got it outside, it just happily sat in my hand for a few minutes. I love cute insects like that. Not sure I’ve ever encountered a grasshopper like that before. Or if I’ve ever seen a living one before. Was nice.

I need a haircut!

Yay for sparkley clean! It does feel good, doesn’t it? You know what? I get that fear of “I hope my loved ones are ok!” even when I see/hear an abulance that is nowhere near my house as long as it could potentially have come from that direction. I’m a total worry freak. *sigh*~jo

YAY for grasshopper and movies! I don’t care for the SAW series but I do ‘get’ why they are so popular…grotesque… (this from the girl who watched THE HITCHER b/c sean bean was NUMMY in it!) Anywho…glad the insect was a nice grasshopper and not something creepy! *hugs* 🙂

I had my hair cut a few weeks ago and I’m still reeling. It’s still very long but it’s not at my waist and it’s all NEAT! It doesn’t feel like my hair. Lee Mee xXx

I actually met one of my closest friends because of a rather large grasshopper. 🙂

Carrie was the first horror movie I ever watched, I was about 11, I rented it and watched it with my Mom. I couldn’t believe it that Carrie was a horror movie and I was so scared of them for nothing, and I didn’t like the movie much cuz it didn’t have as much blood & gore as I expected…then her hand shot out of the ground and scarred me for life! LOL

I was watching an advert for the movie Orphan and that was too much for me. As was watching a cooking show the other day where a man was making his famous black pudding. He poured a bucket of fresh blood into the mixture and then started stirring it with his hand. And then I changed stations. Urrghhh! *shudders* I hope the person is ok. Whoo-hoo that your place is sparkly. Come clean mine plz.

I only ever saw the first Saw. It was more than enough for me!

Cats are good at catching bugs. You should get a cat! Also, I saw the first two ‘Saw’ movies and stopped…it was just silly after that.

I too am uncomfortable with long-haired hiding shy girls in horror movies. For what I’m guessing are similar obvious reasons. HGDKSFJDLSAFJA. Gah, I hope everyone’s ok too- and gaww annoying boomboxing Backseat Boys. XD AWW GRASSHOPPER. <3 There’s a bug i see a LOT that looks very much like a big fat grasshopper with a very colorful, spotty paint job. It’s cute.

Oh, btw, Carrie’s one of the first major horror movies I ever watched too- right up there with Nightmare on Elm Street. FREDDEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. *rahclawhand.* Uhm. Carrie’s hand sticking out of the dirt freaked me out something terrible. XD
