Mushy pancake baby

Yesterday, Ashley became 4 months old! She found this hilarious. She also finds lazy peek-a-boo quite funny.

On Monday I was so utterly exhausted, I felt like how I did the first week or so after giving birth. And just like those early weeks, I ended up crying for an hour because of something stupid, and Ashley’s silly faces made me laugh. She’s so wonderful. She’s also extra awesome wonderful because for the past 2 nights she has let me sleep SO MUCH. From bedtime at 10 (or maybe 10:30) right until 5:30! And then back to sleep until after 8! I feel magnificent and relaxed and energised, it’s wonderful. I don’t like waking up with my sheets and shirt soaked, but that’s a small price to pay.

Yesterday, Ashley managed to knock the playmat over on top of herself. Thankfully the hard toys missed her and she just got wrapped up in the base, but still. I think she wrapped her legs around one of the support pole things and then rolled on her side into the middle of the mat, pulling the whole thing with her. She almost did that later in the day when I was watching so that’s what I suspect happened.

Okay, Ash has a doctor’s appointment (more shots! Poor bub) today, we have to leave in an hour so we better start getting ready! Pity I forgot to put the carseat in the car earlier. I didn’t want to put her in the seat until we got to the car, so that we could go to the restaurant and she could get "good luck getting shots" hugs from everyone. Hmm… I’ll work this out…
