It’s always nice to know your Daddy loves you

I was looking at files on the computer and found the family tree stuff my dad has gathered over the years. In there was his ‘life story’ (he’s obviously been slack coz it only goes to… maybe 1989?) and this paragraph made me cry.

Cheryl became pregnant in 1984 (by design not accident) and Sarah Louise was born at 1.50pm on the 1st of November 1984 at the Diamond Valley Community Hospital at Greensborough.  This moment is still to me the most special in the world.  It was repeated in 1986 & 1988 but the feeling was not the same.  To see for the first time the birth of a child, your own child, is something that mothers and fathers experience in different (but I am glad I’m a father and not a mother).

mum told me I was born at 1:05! she was wrong apparently. heh

It’s 4am so I’m going to bed now.
