Illusion of everything
All was well, until we started watching Smallville. Then, an hour had passed and we were both asleep on the couch. So gross waking up sweaty. That’s what I get for sleeping with so many blankets on. Woke up sweaty last night too, but that’s more because I am crazy than anything else.
This afternoon Jake and I went out to dig the car out of the snow. We’re a pretty good team, he had the big flat snow shovel, moving piles. I had a regular shovel, breaking through the layer of ice making piles of loose snow. We did pretty well, and it was kinda fun. Jake had fun because I was having fun, which is always a good thing. The tires were frozen to the ground so we had to get Russ to come and help with his magic bucket of salty sald or whatever that stuff was. Jake was behind the wheel (for the first time in a great many years) going back and forth because I didn’t want to do that. It was making me cringe just watching, I doubt I would’ve been able to do that. My car was in pain! Plus I’m sensitive to smells so that would’ve been even worse, all the fumes.
The most amusing part was watching Russ, a 74 year old man, trying to push the car. Hopefully it is unstuck tomorrow.
I had something highly awesome to write about here, nothing important but it was amusing. Sleep erases things. Ah well.
This morning, I woke up to a rather weird scrapy noise. I thought it was a truck unloading weirdly or something. Turned out to be plows, because it was snowing. The nice part was that it was about 2 hours before Jake had to go to work so we got to hang out. Lovely.
We’re watching CSI, I don’t want to risk missing the end part because of the DVR so I have to stay awake for an hour. Woo!
Hope you are all doing well.
I do so love living in the “south.” Snow is not allowed down here. *grin* RYN: Thanks for the congrats on my engagement. The real question though, is how many people will still be standing after all the festivities are over? *grin*

it must be such a change to go from aussie weather to having your car stuck to the spot it is in!!!! (it was 42 deg in sydney yesterday! too hot!!!)

What’s going to stop the tyres freezing to the ground again? So good of Russ to help out.

ew! waking up sweaty is def NOT FUN! It does, however, push ya to shower, which is always a good thing! *huggles of cleanliness squishiness* 🙂 *and high-fives for good measure!*
