I live in hope for a world filled with pie

Time: 5am
Hours left: only 4 hours to go!
So earlier (way way way earlier… like 20 hours ago!) Ellen gave me some topics to write about. One of them was… umm… I should’ve written them down. I think it was Top Ten Greatest Memories in the Sez Brain or something like that. I can do that!
Not in any real order… although generally the higher, the better.
10. When I found Headbutt outside, a kitty that liked me. I snuck him in the house when I was home alone and we would hang out, me doing dishes, him just being cute. The scar on my stomach from when he was resting on me and got frightened and took off. The punch in the eye that made me laugh once I realised my eye hadn’t been clawed. Exchanging kitty-kisses for food. Having a cute hairy face headbutt me in the face to wake me up…
9. Watching some crap tv… something to do with circque de soliel… both on computer chairs….
8. After spending 3-5 hours (I forget how long) sitting in a cramped room with a bunch of other people, being filled with nervousness but chattering away to my Jake… I got my visa saying I was allowed to live in America. I swear they were watching us on the security cameras, they didn’t ask us any questions about our relationship, other than how we met
7. One morning, on the train heading to a day of stuffing envelopes with my Ellen (well, she was my ring master, I was the envelope monkey) me reading a printed conversation between my Jake and I from the night before. An important one, that still makes me smile very much. From so long ago, he called me Sez-meister. <3
6. All the random things Jenn and I would quote Carli on… that she had no memory of saying. "We’re not incognito, there’s 3 of us!" "I remember when we had a Gloria Jeans coffee. It was a hot chocolate" "I wanna be a marshmallow" … thinking a female camel was a giraffe (or was it the other way around?). And can’t forget the putting of blue cream soda in the lid of the bottle, and waving it around announcing "plaque acid!"
5. Jenn and I were obsessed with these weird Solis drinks, we had to try all the flavours. One night we went off to woopwoop, 2-3 hour round trip… only to discover that the new flavour we found tasted like FLYSPRAY (ok, before miss Jenn with the immaculate memory comes along… yes that is two days in one. one day we went woop woop, got a different flavour. Another day we went… down further on the double decker kfc and lit up palm tree streets, and that’s when we got the flyspray.)
4. My.. I believe it was 18th birthday. the evening before there was cake, presents and fun at Ellen’s house, (mmm white choc mudcake!) a random walk to almost my house and back… Jenn and I left at about 4am, went to the petrol station and got icecreams, sat/played on the road (there were NO CARS!) and watched a truck take about 30 minutes to get down the driveway next to the station. Went to the playground, saw the sun rise, wanted to have maccas for breakfast, had to wait for an hour or more for the place to open. Had pancakes. Went to Jenn’s so she could get changed, came to mine to drop stuff off, eat some melty tiramusi icecream, she fell asleep on me while watching tv, and punched me a few times! Went to the ‘mall’, bought a bunch of cool presents including MY FIRST EVER TOE SOCKS… Went back to Ellen’s, Jenn fell asleep, I almost did while playing pool. Took Jenn home, went home, showered, got Jenn again and we went to dinner at Cafe Spice I believe. Best double-day birthday EVER (and i think every birthday since, unintentionally, we have had maccas)
3. Picking up Jenn from her home, or maybe Greensie. Going to Ellen’s house. "Do you reckon she’ll be shocked to see us together?"
2. Going across the world, alone, for the first time of me being out of the country, to meet someone I fell in love with online. The first part of the flight I couldn’t sleep, was so nervous about the connecting part at LAX, I ended up watching so many movies, most being crap, one being about pants. Once in the second plane, I had a row of 4 seats to myself, so I covered myself in many blankets and went to sleep. Arrived about 9pm, was so confused about where I was meant to meet them, if they were to be at the gate (I hadn’t travelled by plane to anywhere since… 2000?) so I just followed the crowd, grabbed my bags, got surrounded by people waiting and then saw a lady sitting on the ground with a giant gorgeous guy standing over her. and that was my Jake 🙂 Best month ever (although I would’ve liked company on the flights! Especially the leaving one… you try crying uncontrollably for 28 hours in a plane surrounded by staring people…)
1. Getting married to my darling Jake. Twas a truly awesome day, even if I didn’t get my mudcake (I will not be forgetting that anytime soon) I’m glad so many people took so many pictures, and sent them to us! I’m glad my father was there to walk me down the ‘aisle’ (even if he did repeatedly step on my dress) and that my soon-to-be stepsister-in-law was there to be my maid of honor. I hate that none of my friends were there. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying myself! 😀
Yay for good memories!!
