I can’t wait until Ash can give me titles.

So I want to do the 101 things in 1001 days thing again, but I can’t think of enough things! I’m only up to 37! And that is after looking at 3 other people’s lists, as well as my old list. Argh!

Dinner was so disappointing tonight. We made curried chicken and rice in the crock pot. We have made it once before, and it was awesome. This time, it took 90 minutes longer to cook than it should have, so by the time it was done we had gone to the store and bought wraps for dinner (we lack pretty much anything right now, can’t have a stocked kitchen when i na few days you are abandoning it for a while). It is also so very flat and boring and tasteless, even adter many attempts to bam up the flavour. I was so excited about this meal too. That’ll teach me for getting my hopes up.

Today was pretty productive. I folded all the travel clothes and packed them with everything, it all fits in one suitcase. Just, but that’s much better than I previously did when it was just 2 of us! This also means I don’t have to cut back on any of Ashley’s clothes, which is good because I went through it all trying to see if there were pieces that didn’t work with anything else, and all I managed to remove were one pair of leggings and a tshirt… and the tshirt was removed because it didn’t fit her big ol head.

Oh, that reminds me. Yesterday when I was going through all her clothes, I was sitting by the tv. Ashley came over to say hi, and discovered the tv stand. Now she goes over there all the time, grabs the remotes and all the things sitting on top of the table-thing. I really don’t think she even realised there was something there before yesterday.

I know I say it every day, but wow that baby is mobile now. So fast. She’ll look across the room at some of her toys and then BAM she’s over there playing with them! Only a few days ago she’d meander around and if she happened to get near the toys she would play. Now she goes with purpose.

What else did I do today… I printed out the e-tickets. I got the Electronic Travel Authority things (aka visa waivers) for Jake and Ashley, printed out the confirmation pages for that. Changed the printer ink so I could print those things, we were out of black ink and running low on red ink so there wasn’t much longer on that cartridge.

I really don’t think there is anything I can do to prepare for this trip until Monday now. Then I can pack the diaper bag for the long trip. Have to wait until then, we need the bag for Sunday. Ashley is going to a christmas party at the spa at norwich inn.

Jake was so lovely this morning. He got up at 6 with Ash and came and played with her until he had to go to work at 8:30. I got to sleep! It was awesome!! He said at lunch that he was glad he could make up for the day before, which he so did. Wednesday morning, he sat up awake, looked at Ashley sitting up in the bed and me laying there looking exhausted, then he rolled over. When I asked him to get up with her (it was 6:30, at least) he got all snappy and said his alarm wasn’t going off for another half hour and if I wanted him up now I should have set his alarm for earlier. Which makes NO SENSE because he hates hearing the alarm. I think he had woken from a dream that was annoying or something, it was rather out of character. He was very surprised that he acted like that when I told him later in the day.

Sorry my entries are always so choppy and randomly ordered. It is hard to think in straight lines this late at night.

Hmm… 101 things is a lot of things. I don’t know what I would put on mine… probably a fair few food related things. Like… Try a new recipe every day for a week, or every week for a year, or something… NoNoMo update: I went to Ikea with Matty today. But then what he wanted to buy was too big for my car, so he had to go back tonight with Dad, which means it was a bit pointless…

Oh, but then Matty made us dumplings for dinner, so that was worthwhile 😀 My visa waiver is still fresh from last year so I don’t need to get a new one, but I still need to get travel insurance and organise some american moneys…

Hmm, mobile baby with a purpose. Sounds like interesting times. 🙂 Pity about your chicken and rice dinner. Lots of rice can absorb the flavour so maybe that is what happened.

Have you looked at the dayzeroproject.com website? They have lots of different ways to search for good ideas! I got a lot of mine from there. I hope you’ll share your list once it’s done! ^_^
