Holy crap, SMILING’S MY FAVOURITE!

We are kinda running low on food things. Look at that, we have milk, pepsi, diet coke, celery, apples, yogurt, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic and scallions. And potatoes, not shown. Hard to come up with something rounded to eat using these ingredients. At least we only have to come up with one more meal with all these things, and I’m thinking we won’t even do that.

Today was Jake’s last day of work for the year. He got many many hugs, and Russ gave him $100 and told him to take me out for a nice meal. So I’m thinking tomorrow we will buy tasty wraps or maybe even sush (!!) from the grocery store next to our apartment. That’ll use up… $10. I can’t imagine going to a restaurant and spending $100 on just Jake and I. Actually with that money we could go out to eat and to the movies, with snacks, twice. With maybe a bit left over. Ooh that sounds nice. Maybe at home.

Last night there was much hilarity. My brain-to-mouth passage again got mixed up and I accidentally said ‘testicle’ when I meant ‘breast’ …which resulted in us both falling about laughing. All my stomach muscles hurt. My whole midsection. I feel like I did an intense core workout. I love that laughing is such a workout.

I’m starting to get bounce-off-the-walls excited about being home very soon. In less than 72 hours I will be home! In about 48 we will be boarding the plane at JFK. I really wish it was a straight shot, LAX is the part that stresses me. I don’t mind airports when they are the bookends of the flight, but not when there is one in the middle.

Elf is on! Sorry, this is more important that writing. I don’t know if you have noticed, but there is a quote from that movie on my front page, and it has been there since the night we returned home from seeing it at the cinema.
