Hence the octopus comment…

"I feel like an octopus trying to fit into a two-armed shirt"

This diary is 6 years old today. It is also 4 years since Jake came to Oz to visit me, so we have been together every day for 4 years now. That is SO MANY layers of awesome. I love how relatively quick we got our act together and ended up in the same place. And so happy. Yay. Happy is awesome.

I’ve got a hot chocolate in front of me. It has honey in it. It is SO GOOD. I wish it was never ending, but then it would be soda on my keyboard. I also have these amazingly super-soft socks on. I found them in my sock drawer, I don’t think I had ever worn them before. I got them from the airport when we were saying goodbye to Jenn, so they have been sitting around for two and a half years. I’m wearing them inside out because the outside is 3 times as soft and fluffy as the inside. They are awesome. They also look like they are ginormous booties. So it appears I have baby-feet, except… umm…. not.

We did a LOT today. The regular excessive Saturday attack of errands. Laundry that took FOREVER because people were being jerks with the dryers so we had to stand around and wait for someone to not be a jerk. A trip to the mall for tasty eats. A trip to Costco for an almost 5’7  high stack of cereals.

And then there was the massive grocery shop. Somewhere between Costco and Stop & Shop I developed a strong case of hyper. So I was running/skipping/jumping around the store and just generally having a LOT of fun. Until we got to the total at the end. I didn’t grab anything we didn’t have on the list… I just grabbed many multiples of the things that were on the list. Ah well, we are set for a long time now!

Once home and everything was away, Jake and I went for a walk. Our first walk of the year actually. It was cold, but I needed to un-hype. I think that did it. I’m sleepy now. Although that could also be the hot milk in my belly.

Jake took an awesome photo of me. I really like this one.

Title (and starting quote): All day I have been wearing that stripey shirt, which is a rather loose fit. After shower, however, I put on 3 (THREE) lovely warm layers that are my pj clothes of yay. They are all freshly washed, and therefore very snuggly-fitting. One layer feels like wearing a hug. 3… I feel like I’m crammed in here!
