Glittery sheep, dreaming of sheep
This morning we woke, got all dressed in clothes, and were out the door by… 20 to 8. Considering I don’t normally get up till 1pm… whoa!
We were at Yale by 9am, which was the time of the appointment, but Dr Baehring is never on time, so we were waiting around till about quarter to ten. He was his usual giant-nice doctor-man, and Jake was babbling about how everything is awesome, like he always does. I guess this was just to check that nothing bad had happened as a result of the gamme knife surgery in June.
We headed home, went to Walt’s so Jake got shaved much earlier in the day than normal. We were all starving, so it was’t the smartest idea to go there then, but it saved us doing it at 5pm. I had candy, so I didn’t throw up from mad hunger, or anything like that. Yay for candy!
Once my man was de-wolfed, we went to the Split Rail, Jake and I had some incredibly awesome turkey reubens, and it was a lovely meal. Seriously, Barb got it almost PERFECT. Lots of turkey, just a bit of sauerkraut, all it needed was a little more of the… sauce-type-stuff so I could’ve dipped the fries in it. But it was soo good.
So good that once we got home, I went straight to bed and had a lovely tryptophan-induced nap. The apartment was cool (thanks to Lisa’s smarts of putting all the aircons on before we left this morning) so it was just like being at home. Living in a fridge. Having to rug up to stop shivering. mmm… such a nap.
Woke up at about… 3:45. Jake called for a ride a minute later, so that was awesome. If it was the other way around, would not have been so good, I hate when the phone wakes me up. Tis… a very loud thing.
Met Jake at the post office, where I picked up two packages I’d been expecting, containing pieces of a birthday present for a friend, and some socks for Sezzie’s feet. I can’t remember the last time I bought socks, I missed it. I so love taking pictures of my new socks… mmm… socks. They have sheep on them! And are stripey! And toe socks! And they have glitter! They aren’t purple… or they would be close to perfection.
Look! They are dreaming of sheep! <3
Grocery shopping was pretty evil, I didn’t wanna be there. Somehow I ended up not just walking out, but I don’t think we got everything we need… that’s what I get for not writing out the list properly beforehand.
I was dying for water, but all they had in the cold section was flavoure water, so I got something that was berry flavoured. It was so good! Almost like the cordial we have at home. Nice strong flavour, which is still kinda with me. I’m not complaining, it made the gatorade I drank later even more tasty than normal. mmm… score.
Jake, Matt and Lisa are watching 300 right now. Jake grabbed it when we went to Kmart (I wanted squirt-type bottles for… I can’t even remember, but I’d use them if I had them! Can’t find them though…. or sunscreen. Poor neck-burnt Jake) coz for the last month, every time the ad for it came on he’s been I HAVE TO GET THIS!!!!!! 🙂
I think its time for me to do some spelunking. (You can go underground in pokemon, and dig up cool items, tis fun!)
do sheep count sheep to fall asleep?! those are great socks!
