Easier, less kangaroos *edit of yay

Spent the day at Jenn’s place, with her lovely bub and hub as well. It is so nice hanging out with another young family. Ash showed off her walking (she is getting quite good, I do have videos I just haven’t had chance to upload them yet) which will hopefully get into Elouise’s head how useful it is to stand and walk around (she’s 18 months and won’t even stand up).

We got there at 11. I was expecting we would be going out to lunch, seeing as we were there before lunch time and we had talked about going to lunch. However, there were snacks and that’s it. We left at 5:30. I had had a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast but that was all the real food I had consumed so I had a big headache that is still hanging around even though I have eaten and drunk since.

We didn’t do anything. We sat, watched the babies, watched tv… we spent hours watching a countdown on mtv classic called "top 100 that made mtv" …but what did they make of mtv? I don’t know. We stayed until #19, we were waiting and waiting for an MJ song but I was getting too… unable to drive so we had to leave. Jenn set it up to record so hopefully she’ll zip through it and tell me where MJ placed and with what. Because that sort of thing is important.

We’re seeing Candice on Wednesday, which I’m so looking forward to. It’s been years since we last saw her. She was the first person I met from OD. We started plans to go to the USA to meet dudes we wanted to meet and even though she backed out, I went and that is when I met Jake. I wouldn’t have ever thought of travelling like that alone if Candice and I hadn’t planned together like that, so I probably never would have met Jake without her. So she’s pretty special. I’m glad she’ll get to see Ash as a youngin. We’re going to a park that has a fun playground and apparently geese/ducks for my bird-loving daughter to throw bread at.

Ashley and I had a lovely bath this evening. It has been years since I’ve had a bath. Of course, mine was kinda crappy compared to a good bath, but there was enough water to wash my hair and body, and it was a lovely hot-warm bath. Much better than a shower here where there is NO pressure and it takes forever for anything to wash out of my hair, and if there is a touch of pressure, there is no hot. The only few times I’ve had a good shower here have been in the 2 days after I bumped my head on the taps. I did that twice, so 4 days of nice showers. Coincidence?

Not a great photo, but Ashley laughs every time she sees it, so I had to keep it. Don’t know if you can tell, but we were watching ‘the big bang theory’. Ashley said "big bang" today. but unfortunately we had no more episodes recorded so we couldn’t watch it. She dances to the theme song and moves her mouth as though she is trying to sing.

Speaking of words Ashley says, I have a video of her saying "magpie" (a type of australia bird. They are big, black and white, and we have some here that Mum feeds, sometimes by hand. I used to as well, seeing as we look so much alike) and I will share it but of course it fell to the bottom of the list of videos to upload and all the ones in front of it are really big! 1.5 have uploaded and magpie is #7. It is freaking cute though. Jake just about died from the cute.
