Drunk and floppy baby.

I hate not writing all the time. I feel like I’ve forgotten a whole pile of really important things that have happened, although I’m sure this past week has just been the same awesome time that the last 3 months have been.

Oh yeah, Ashley is 3 months old tomorrow. How is that possible?

This morning I glanced outside and noticed the parking lot was pretty much empty, which meant the workers at the restaurant were probably bored. So Ash and I headed down. Ashley got lots of cuddles from all the people that love her. Marion offered Ashley to Sara at one point and I was so happy when she turned down the opportunity to hold my baby. I don’t want her gross smoky energy/aroma all over my all over my child. Barb gave Ash an adorable little dress/pants outfit, but the secutiyy tag was still on it. Hopefully she went back this afternoon to get that removed, I want to wash those clothes so Ashley can wear them.

Tomorrow we are going to see about buying Ashley a new toy. I want one of those table things with a spot in the center to for her to stand (assisted) surrounded by a whole bunch of fun things. She loves it when we help her stand, and quite often now I am barely supporting her which really kinda freaks me out. We should have enough money for one of these if we empty the swear jar that we started a few weeks ago. I’ve been really slack about putting money in there, so I might not even have to open it. We’re going to Walmart because we have a huge amount of giftcards for there, so whatever we don’t spend on diapers/wipes will go towards the plaything. I owe the swear jar $28 at the moment, but that might be a few dollars higher by the time we get out tomorrow morning. I swear too much.

My child is amazing. She’s gotten herself into a bit of a routine. If she sleeps well overnight she’ll wake up and want to eat not long after Jake goes to work at 8:30. Then we’ll play for a while, sometimes she’ll want me to play with and sometimes she’s good by herself. She’ll eat again at about 12 when Jake goes back to work, and have a little nap. Sometimes she naps for hours, sometimes it’s for 10 minutes. She’ll eat a bit around dinner time (before or after, depends when we get our food ready) but she always ends up sitting in her high chair between us while we eat dinner. She seems to enjoy that most days, which makes me happy.

She’s currently asleep on Jake. He’s laughing because she’s propped up, sitting sideways on his lap, and he keeps moving her mouth like she’s talking. So silly, my family is. He keeps telling her to wake up and she just shakes her head. Not even my shouting sneezes wake her up. Awww.

She’s getting so big! She looks so aware now, not like a newborn anymore. ^_^

The babies at the daycare LOVE the disk seat thing. If you can find the adjustable one, that has a bounce option that is the popular one out of the 3 the daycare has. 🙂

OMG I can see both of you in her!!! I can’t beleive she’s already 3 months!!!! Have you tried looking at resale shops or good will for one of those excursausers (spelling is way off there) I wish you were closer, i’d give you the one I had for Josh, since he hated it.

It is so wonderful that you have her sit in the highchair with you guys for family meals. As she gets older she will naturally start eating at the table and you won’t have to one day make a point to teach her how to eat nicely with the family. Not that she will never goof off but many families never eat together! Then the parents wonder why the kids can’t go out to eat. Well, they don’t eat nicelyat home either b/c mom and dad aren’t sitting down with them to teach them so of course they don’t sit nicely in a restaurant. Now, kids are kids and it can be hard to sit still at a restaurant even if they do well at home. No kid is perfect (and the ones who are are CREEPY!) but she will do great. AND! Babies who eat with their parents grow up eating more of mom and dad’s foods and tend to be less picky eaters! You’re doing awesome! Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Cait loves her exersaucer. She’s still an inch to short to fully stand though lol. She can have one foot flat and the other pointed.

In some pictures, I swear Ashley looks just like you and in others all I see is Jake. How strange. Unrelated: Does Ashley get all sleepy and limp after breastfeeding, but not after drinking expressed milk from the bottle? I’ve noticed Lily does. I’m wondering if there’s some kind of hormone released to make that happen when they drink from the boobies.

I’ve said it before, but my gosh she looks so much like Jake! I love there are some photos where you can see how much she looks like you too 🙂 Daniel’s baby cousin Ruby loves lying against legs like that too! xx

Ashley is so cute. Well done to you and Jake. It is good to have a routine too.

She’s so big!! What a cutie. She looks like both of you equally, which I love. 🙂
