Deliciously entendre-y

I adore having a cupboard devoted entirely to candy. I think it is a truly fabulous idea. The only problem is… when it is full of candy, I then eat the candy. All the time. And I’m old now, candy does not work as a substitute for food anymore. That makes me pretty sad, but candy and I… we had a good run. (There is actually MORE candy in there now, this was taken on Sunday morning and that afternoon we got presents of candy)

Early this afternoon, Jake came upstairs with a plate of salad and two cups of split pea soup. There was no seats for him to have his breakfasty-lunch so he came to eat up here with me. Spontaneous lunch date! It was lovely, and delicious. I love split pea soup so much. So much that I didn’t care that I had breakfast 15 minutes before.

My title means nothing. Well… it means something to someone I’m sure, but to me it is just the words that wanted to come out when title time came around!

I feel like I’m addicted to hot chocolate. And I have a growing want for candy canes. It’s a good thing we have some. They keep getting eaten though. That’s so crazy.

I’ve never had split pea soup but I hear it’s delicious so I got the stuff to make it! Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow…

Cupboards full of treats are my downfall! :/

Candy canes are the only good thing to come out of the Christmas period.

I have a drawer full of candy which is at just the right height for the 3 and 4 year old kids to get into, but too high for the one year old. My daughter hates my candy drawer because her son is always helping himself. He only comes over once a week, so it’s not too bad.

when it started snowing I yelled “it’s hot chocolate season!” I find it funny you mentioned hot chocolate here. We have fruit flavoured and strawberry flavoured canes, they are all Aussie and everything. J finds it weird I will not eat the broken ones but when I get one I snap bits off, making it broken. I’m just like that, they cannot be pre-broken!

candy canes INSIDE hot chocolate = double delicious

ryn: 🙂 I want to play Soul Silver and Heart Gold now, but yay March! It’s closer than last year.

ryn: I’m guessing you saw it on shamone? I did too but after I posted it here hehe. Why does Jake have 5 million guitar picks? Yay, I must now write down the date or something. :)! I didn’t know it was in March until you said so and I looked it up.

i can only limit myself to a bowl of random candy. i’d be in trouble if i had a whole cupboard.

RYN: You’re not the only one! You only realise how much you actually use it for when you don’t have it!

ryn: Maybe!
