Day 2 – The Shower Is Evil

Silly confusing shower turny things that have names that aren’t turny things. Twas all argh-worthy. but not quite.

I have to write all about yesterday that was really 2 days moulded into one, don’t I? Bammit, so much of a days.

Mum and I left home at 7:30am Sunday so we could get to the airport an hour later when we had to be there. We actually got there in like 20 minutes, but that’s what  happens when its early morning on a weekend. So we did the boring things of checking in  my bag (I have one not-so-big bag for a month, I rock, right?) and then Mummy had to leave my side coz twas time to go through customs. She was all crying but it surprsingly didn’t make me cry. That surprised me. Yes, yes it did.

Customs took 2 MINUTES and most of that was walking back and forth through the thing that would hold a giant line if there was more than 5 people there! Twas cool. Once I was through that I went to the gate and was :O coz they were playing songs from the armageddon soundtrack. That made me confused a little. I was sitting next to multiple connex jackets, but then the scurity peoples came and put them on. They were colours. Scurity was spelt like that by me on purpose. Yes yes it was.

The plane was delayed by… about an hour and a half. Jenn called me 5 minutes before I was about to board. How she has great timing, I don’t know, she rocks I guess. That was nice, getting to talk to her for a bit. That made me teary more than mum did! Oddness.

On the plane… food was yummy!!! We had lunch that was chicken and beans and randoms, and then a few hours later (bout 3pm aus time) they turned out all the lights and made it night time. I didn’t sleep, I watched the movies instead. Mainly coz the girl sitting next to me kept hitting me in her sleep. WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT TO ME?! So I watched…. Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, The Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants (it was funny coz they kept saying the word PANTS a lot), Mr & Mrs Smith (I fell asleep in the middle, so watched the second half later… still missed a chunk in the middle but its not like its a confusing storyline or anything), Madagascar, and The Longest Yard. And in there somewhere I had breakfast. Me. Ate breakfast. Of CEREAL.

This keyboard keeps confusing me, I’m so not used to it! Garh. I’m also not used to the fact that everything has sound on the puter lol. But then… meh. I’m rambling. I do rock though, I got Jake the new msn! =D I’m a useful girlfriend.

At LAX, they kept moving the people on my connecting flight along faster than everyone else, coz it wanted to leave asap. So that was pretty cool, didn’t have to wait in lines much, just had to work out how to get around this massive giant airport where no one is obviously there to help you out! I just latched on to 2 girls I heard asking about my flight, so that saved me some stuff. =)

From LA to here, twas only 4 hour flight, unlike  the 15 hour one I had just been through. So thatwas a total piece of cake. And it was pretty awesome coz I had a row of 3 seats all to myself! So I had 3 pillows and 4 blankets and a LOT of room to  stretch out and be comfy. So yes, I fell asleep again. Which was good sleep.

Weirdest thing ever (well I thought it was anyways) when we got to NY the plane went around it in a hexagon before landing (I was watching the flight path thing on the tv, coz I’d watched all the movies) …yeah, that was weird.

We landed! And then I got my bag… and had no idea where these crazy people were that picking me up! But then I spotted them, and they both looked at me and I don’t think it registered who I was. So I walked up to them and just stood right there waiting for it to click. So funny!!! Then I got me Squidy-hugs, and that completely made me speechless. Seriously. I tried to tell him not to lean on me so much coz we’d fall over, but no words came out! Was amusing, and we didn’t fall over. So yay.

The whole backwards driving thing really weirded me out. Driver sits on the wrong side of the car, car drives on the wrong side of the road… its all too much for a brain that is completely exhausted!  Hehehe I was marching around the whole time I was walking once I found my Jake. And he couldn’t stop laughing at me! =D

OH! The plane from Melbourne left at 11am Sunday morning, and the plane from LA left at… 10am Sunday morning. I AM A TIME TRAVELLER! I rock.

Everyone here is very nice. Of course, coz I rock. =P lol Kristen (Jake’s sister) is already calling me her Pengi, coz its random and so are we. She’s pretty awesome. And she has a fishy like AT does… (Jenn… if you read this… what is AT’s fish’s name? Is it Howard or something like that?) and and… umm… stuff.

Jake’s puter is good, it no have flash that works so that annoying quizilla ad on the side that always bugs me when I entree? Its not there! SCORE! w00t w00t and all tht jazz pie.

Um Um Um… there was turkey and vegebles and stuff for dinner, but I was too tired to be hungry so I just picked most of the asparagus off Jake’s plate. I don’t know why but I did. It was mmm tasty food. Unlike the america plane food. Yeah, that shit was nasty! For the lunch on the second plane I had a choice of lime chicken (ew ew ewww… lime!) or spinach and ricotta ravioli. I chose the second, even though ricotta is my most hated of all cheeses I have trie (well… its up there with goat cheese anyways) and it was all i could do to not throw up the 2 pieces i had. And the rest of the random stuff? for the ‘salad’ it was gross looking carrot and celery sticks, and all this other really rancid looking stuff… like this squishy block of I HAVE NO IDEA that was yellow and pink layered and just…. ew.

I love being here with Jake. It’s like I’ve always been here. I’m completely not at all shy around him, which is awesome, coz even though I didn’t think I would be I thought there would be some degree of it. But no. Yay!

Very very lovely first night. My man is a verrry good kisser. W00t.

And… I love being here where my body clock is.. NORMAL! I’m normal! Yay! We was awake by just after 8am. Mmm so human. It rocks.

Was this a good update? Are you all satisfied now? I haven’t read anyone’s updates yet (not even Jake’s… well… I read the one he wrote while I was in the shower but that’s it!)and I’ll get around to reading and norting people at some point. Promise.
