Christmas brainworm

I have the Frosty the Snowman song in my head. Sung by the Jackson 5. Yesterday I went to the store and they were playing a J5 Christmas song and that always makes me happy, even though I’m not really a fan of Christmas music. So I figured it was about that time of year so we have been listening to some seasonal tunes today. My favourite being Darren Hayes’ version of Wham’s "Last Christmas".

So last I wrote… a non-entry because I lost my entry. So… umm…

Monday! Monday was stress-tummy day. I had planned to go to Pete’s (nice mechanic just down the road) first thing, but it was really cold and by the time we were done with our morning routine Ashley wanted a bath and then it was almost lunch time, so morning visit didn’t happen. So I was going to go at lunch while Jake was here with Ash, but he showed up too late so I didn’t have enough time. So Ashley and I ended up going after nap. She was so wonderful, and was happy to take the car to the doctor because it has an owwie before we played in the backyard. She just sat in her carseat holding her rake so she was ready to rake the snow.

Pete is giving me a new driver side mirror tomorrow (Thursday) and checking on my weird tires while he does that. Not that the tires are weird but the pressure sensor light came on a few times when we trekked to New London so that needs to be checked out. I have to get up quite early for me so that I can get the car there and walk back home before Jake needs to leave for work at 8:20, but the cold walk should be quite invigorating. Who am I kidding, it is going to be bloody cold, below freezing, but whatever. At least it will be just me, and it is a max 5 minute walk. And then I will get to walk back there at lunch time (so I don’t have to subject the babe to that weather)

Tuesday/yesterday it snowed. All day. Matt and Lisa came over to hang out for a bit but they left earlier than usual so that they could safely get home.

I want to make cookies, but I don’t know what ones. I want to make a gingerbread house, but I don’t know when. After the weekend probably, I need to see if I can get a squeezy bottle thing to help dispense the icing. We have a ridiculously busy weekend coming up, 2 weeks worth of errands and such, plus things we have been putting off because it was too cold or we took too long and Ash was getting tired. She can survive without a nap but then we are at risk of a toddler breakdown in a store and I don’t want to deal with that. She will not sleep in the car anymore so… yeah.

enter image description hereI need to work out how to post videos here (being prosebox), and alter photo sizes… but I can’t be bothered now. I have videos of her singing ‘Billie Jean’, and ‘Say Say Say’… and saying "Sesame Street was brought to you today by the letter Y" because she just starts rambling things sometimes and it is hilariously impressive.
