Can’t have a sauce with giant balls!
This is my lovely new poster. I was very amused when I put it up because I did not realise that HE’S WEARING A GLOVE. But that’s because in the white version, he’s not. At least, I don’t think so. Ah. Anyway, that other room right there is the bathroom. Bit too close to the kitchen, but… meh. Also, this was taken at my eye level. Our apartment is weirdly slanty, so the ceiling gets closer as you walk through. I can jump and touch the ceiling in the ‘middle’ room, the lounge room. In the bedroom, I have to stand on the bed to reach the ceiling. Kitchen, I could probably hit my head if I jumped. I haven’t tried that. I’m surprised by that actually, considering the number of times I have tried to punch the lounge room ceiling in the house my family lives in. (I can do it. I tear up my knuckles, but I can do it. And have done so. At least twice.)
Today was… pretty crap actually. This morning I tried to burn an awesome cd for the car. Didn’t work. That really makes me sad. I figure it must be the actual burner if two different programs both fail. And that really sucks.
We headed off to go do laundry. First stop was the bank. We never made it that far. We got so close we could see the bank… and the front left tire blew. We walked to the gas station, which was maybe a minute’s walk away? On the way, BOOM! A car hit a van which hit the car in front of it. On the other side of the road from us, but this road is just one lane each way so it was way too close, I think. Freaky. Idiot shouldn’t have been looking at the sexiness that is Jake.
Man at the gas station gave us the number for a tow truck (I keep wanting to call it a toe-truck!) and let us wait there, because outside it was below freezing. I believe it was about 8F/-13C. In other words, FUCKING COLD. So glad there wasn’t wind. Dude came, replaced the tire with the weird mini-one, and then we had to turn around and drive to the ‘other end’ of town (5 minute drive? If that?) to see about getting a PROPER tire. That freaked me out way too much. I really wish Jake could drive. They took our dead tire and sent us away, to come back in a few hours.
Came home, tried to relax but that wasn’t really possible. I hate waiting, and the stress of stupidness, just gah. We watched some Psych, and I read my faves, and it was a bucket of funny. Not quite as funny as a video I just watched, the literal version of Billie Jean, but still amusing and happy-making.
Random sidenote/sez-fact: I don’t think I have EVER had pre-sliced cheese.
Our car apparently has weird size tires, so we have to go back Monday afternoon to find out if they got one for us. So that’s fun. Glad we have a store right here, so we can have things like milk and OJ. Glad we have started doing grocery shopping every 2 weeks rather than each week, and that we are in the middle right now so we didn’t need to get a bunch of freshness and meat today. Very VERY glad for the monetary boost we got yesterday, was really needed today and will be needed when we get the new tire.
This is Jake’s new poster. It’s actually the inside of the dust jacket of a book he got for christmas. Pretty cool. Having that there means now we have something on every wall of this room. Makes it seem a lot more… comfy.
Once home the second time, we got candy from the store. I have delicious chocolate mint things and Jake got licorice. Aussie licorice. I love that that stuff is available right here. It made me squeal the first time I saw it. Exact same reaction I had when I found caramel tim tams here. Mmm…
Dinner was amazing stir fry. I tried using chopsticks with it, and totally kicked ass. If that wasn’t the first time I’ve used chopsticks, it was the first time since I was… 8? 9? Rather young. So I was very impressed with myself. And then I gave up because the food wasn’t quite fast enough into my mouth. lol My title was how I described the sauce to Jake. I was telling him to add a bit of cornstarch to make it a tighter sauce, except I didn’t use those words, I just said "so it goes…" and then acted like I was getting shrivelled. Shrivelled like testicles. heheheh
I HURT so I am done with this chair now. My regular way of sitting has somehow hurt my butt. That rather weirds me out, and it sucks, but at least I not know why I hurt there. All day I’ve been confused by it.
So… hope you are all doing well!
Oh dang! Sucks about thebtire and weird because you’re my second fave today to write a out having a blow-out! Very glad you guys weren’t hurt. Funny thing. I saw that exact poster of MJ today and thought of you! ~jo

Have you heard about the Michael Jackson dolls they’re going to be putting out this year? I think the first two are coming out in the summer.

Oh that sucks a whole bunch. I hope the tire doesn’t cost too much to replace. On a side note, though, I love the colour of the walls in your kitchen =P

Love the poster! And I love the colour of your walls, very pretty 😀 13, that’s so cold! I’ve never experienced coldness like that before. It sounds amazing. That would have been scary with the tyre 🙁

RYN: Thank you so much! That’s what I was looking for. I bookmarked the link ages ago but when I went to check it out yesterday the LJ came up, not the individual entry. Thanks!

J loves literal vids *bookmarks for the husbie* I rule with chopsticks, I like stabbing at J with them like I’m trying to eat him. I love freaking him out 🙂

pre-sliced cheese? Like Kraft Singles??? my Nanna used to consume them so it’s a childhood memory of something you’d only get at her house and I felt special. AT eats cheese like that, we call it “amusing cheese” because it’s in a wrapper and cheese but not cheese and it amuses me. I can’t eat them but I sure find them funny.
