Bucket of chicken moon
Today has been such a day.
I got up rather late, was gonna steal dad’s car while mum’s was gone from trapping it in the driveway, but I got distracted by a floor kitty. Then I was going to reorganise the boxes of stuff I am (still) leaving behind, but I couldn’t do that today. I organised them to all fit in the wardrobe though, so that’s something.
Stole Natey’s car once he got home from work. Jake and I went to Greensie, where he got his watch battery replaced and I got… a nail buffer. Woo, excitement. We looked in so many stores though, looking for a dress. Found one that was pretty and all that, but it had that weird bunchy weirdness around the boobage area, plus it was halter which I can’t do properly. I don’t like things on my neck. Such a pity, I was prepared to spend all the moneys in my wallet on pretty clothes if I found them, and I was prepared to grab anything that looked even slightly decent to try on (because that sometimes makes me like things more) but not one thing was worthy. And this is why my wardrobe is so limited. Lots of fun. Did deposit $40 in change at the end of all that though. So I left with an empty-feeling bag.
We went out for dinnerables with an Ellen-person. We went to La Porchetta, where us girls shared a chicken pizza (has bbq sauce and pineapple on it MMMMMMMMMM) and Jake had a very beefy bolognese. Headed over to Dairy Bell for dessert where Jake and I split a very awesome banana split. Chocolate, cherry ripe and honeycomb icecreams with caramel and chocolate topping on top. And a banana of course. MMM. Goodness.
After the yummies, we took the scenic route home. Which involved going through Whittlesea and King Lake. I just google mapped it, was apparently an 80km (~50mile) trip home. Was lovely and fun and full of random. And is where my title came from. The moon looked like it was just being an illusion.
From everything I have, it seems like on Sunday morning we fly to Sydney and then have a direct flight to New York. Which would be many layers of awesome.
Tomorrow, I pack. 🙁
Awww, it suck that you have to go back to the US. :o(~jo
