Blood is the life-blood of life.
Ugh, I feel so crummy. Ellen left on Monday and I’m pretty sure I woke up on Tuesday feeling like this. Which was kind of to be expected, seeing as how Ellen was feeling crum-tastic when she left (not as bad as she had been the few days before), and Jake wasn’t super-perfect, but I was. So it is now my turn. It’s just a sore throat and an overall lack of wanting to do anything, but especially not eat. Which really sucks, because that is normally the only moment I feel ok when I get a cold or whatever, I eat and in that moment I feel perfectly fine. Now it’s like "ugh, why do I have to swallow, blah"
Doesn’t help that today and yesterday have been sticky-gross days. So I just feel… sticky. Even when I was fresh-clean, it lasted about a minute and then BAM sticky again. I don’t like being sticky.
I was hoping to clean today, because we are busy tomorrow and Sunday my mum is coming to stay yay! So I wanted to make the place sparkling but I just cannot be bothered. Sitting up right now is just not something I want to be doing, but laying down makes it more obvious to me that my skin is sticky, especially if I lay in bed like I just did for a while.
Tomorrow marks 20 weeks. Which means belly photo that I’m actually going to post! And will contain my face! (we take a photo every week, but I don’t see the point in posting them all, so I’ve been posting every 5 weeks. Then there is some noticeable difference. And I don’t have to care if my hair is unbrushed for most of the photos because it is not even in it.)
Sunday is a trip to the airport.
Tuesday is our 5th wedding anniversary.
Wednesday is ultrasound day! We will finally have an answer to the gender question. Which is awesome, I can’t wait to find out. Everyone can’t wait to find out. Lucille, our favourite cashier at the store we live next to, even she is excited and can’t wait to find out! Which I find awesome and hilarious. I love living in a small town.
Yesterday’s dessert was a salad that I spent most of an episode of Dexter trying to come up with. It ended up being lettuce with sliced grape tomatoes, with shredded carrot and red onion, and a very garlicy lemony vinegrette-type-thing. When I ate all I could, Jake was so happy that he got to finish it because he adored the flavour too. More proof that baby and Jake enjoy the same flavours.
I bought a hopefully adorable cardigan online today. I couldn’t decide yesterday if I should get it, so I showed Jake and he was all "yes! get it! you’ll look awesome in it!" (which, yeah, he’d say about absolutely anything, but is still nice to hear) so it should be here in a week I reckon. It was slightly expensive for sez-clothes, so I’m ready to send it back if it isn’t as wonderful as it seems. If it is as wonderful, then score! Totally worth the price.
We’ve been watching Dexter season 5 this week. I think we have 2 more episodes left. The opening features Dexter getting ready for the day, and even though we fast forward through it, I still get a glimpse of the delicious looking egg with the runny yolk that he has as part of breakfast. Do you know how badly I want an egg with a runny yolk? Is that over-easy? I don’t know. Anyway, maan I want one. Fully cooked eggs are so boring.
I think that is all the ramble I can stand today. Now I have nothing to ramble about tomorrow when I come to post a picture. Oh well.
Title is something Jake said last night.
Will you share answer to gender question or keep it secret?
