These are the stairs that I pretended to sled down the other day. I laughed so much when I saw the imprint I left.
Yesterday evening when we went outside to move the car (and failed), there were these sheets of ice all over the car and the ground. So I was picking them up and SMASHING them on the ground away from the car. That’s the cool thing about having an empty parking lot at night, no risk of damaging things when I play. Such fun. We got to do that again this afternoon, it was ABOVE FREEZING and so we went out and managed to remove this massive sheet of ice off the front of the car. And then I picked it up and smashed it on the ground in front of the car. Heh.
I also went outside and SMASHED off most of the icicles, and tried to remove the massive slab of ice that is hanging out on the… what can only really be called a porch. Mini-verandah? I don’t know.
We didn’t go out today, which was very disappointing. But it was either snowing or raining all day, and the wiper blades were stuck under the big chunk of ice on the front of the car… and I just didn’t want to drive in that weather. So no delicious burgers or shopping for our kitchen, but oh well. Instead we just hung out at home, which is always lovely.
And we made chili. Possibly the most delicious chili EVER. I HATE that we have to wait almost 24 hours before we get to eat it for dinner tomorrow. Jake wanted to make it a day in advance because chili is better the next day or some crock. But we both tasted it. And now… I could easily eat the entire pile of chickeny/beany/chipotley deliciousness in one go, and I’m not hungry. It’s just so good.
ekks I fall on my ass trying to get down that..

I always make so much chili that you can have it today, tomorrow, the next day and still have some more to freeze for later. :o) ~jo
