Are you refreshing and new?

At about midday, Jake’s stepdad Matt came to visit, driving a U-Haul. Inside the truck was a table and a recliner for us. The table is just a cheapish round white table, but it is BIG and that is awesome. Will come in handy when we do thanksgiving and such. Plenty of space for many peoples. The recliner is soft and a sort-of dark greyish green, but in a pretty way. So of course, I had to rearrange the entire living/dining room to make room for these things.

And of course, I didn’t think to take pictures of the room before I did things, so… yeah. Basically all I did was swap the dining table and the couch.

  

The black chair in front of the couch is because Jake was playing video games. And unfortunately the chair right next to the yellow doorway is the green recliner that you can’t see the colour of.

Jake came home and was very excited by the new layout. I’m still not sure I like it, but I never like it when I move stuff. I love planning to move stuff, I love actually moving stuff around, I’m rarely fond of it when I’m done. At least straight away.

Now I want a new thing for the tv to rest on, I’m sick of being able to see what is in the drawers. Plus, the top drawer can’t close because the thing was not designed to hold the weight of a tv on it. And I need some sort of table cloth, and it would be nice to not have the teddy bear print dressing gown acting as a curtain for the ‘front’ door. And an actual bookshelf would be nice to get eventually. Those are my current goals for this place. Actually, I think that is my only goals for right now. I’ll probably notice something else once I’ve done those things.

Also, I’m very excited, this Saturday is ODAHQ (Blogathon Alternative) and I’ve been waiting all year for this! I have at least 50 odd entry titles stashed away, and as soon as I’m done with this entry I’m writing up my grocery list for all the yummy things I am going to bake. I’m sure I need more recipes though. What is your absolute favourite cake/cookie/other baked good?
