An absolute casserole of nonsense

Umm… oops. Haven’t written for a while.

You know what part I lefto ut of the previous entry? Because they glued the tiles back on in the shower area, we couldn’t shower that night. And that was a day of humidity, and my cleaning of the bathroom, and we both were so gross. When it came time to shower the next day… greatest thing in the world.

So. This weekend has been ABSOLUTELY LOVELY. It feels like it has been at least a week long, but only in the most awesome of ways. Saturday started out with us getting ready for a nice day of tasty lunch and a movie, but first we had to do less super-enjoyable things. Like go back to the blood-drawing place so Jake can get some of his blood removed (I love wording that weirdly) and get a few groceries. The entire time we were out, it was POURING rain, to the point where I could barely see in front of me as I was driving. So we came home and had lunch and got comfortable for a day of relaxing at home instead. And of course, after lunch the sun came out and it was lovely and shiny for the rest of the day.

Relaxing is always really awesome though, so no matter.

Today we headed to the mall to enjoy some super-delicious burgers at Ruby Tuesdays before going to the movies to see Iron Man 2. We were doing Jake’s birthday day out a little early, because we had a coupon that expired before Jake’s birthday and would be silly not to use something that would save monies on something just because we didn’t want to go out earlier. So that’s what we did.

The problem with that…. is the Ruby Tuesdays at the mall is gone. It’s kind of hidden away from the main walkway part of the mall, so who knows how long it has actually been gone. I could have cried, I was so looking forward to that tasty. So sad. We have to find another one to go to now, but it won’t be as convenient as the mall one was.

We couldn’t decide which of the crap-compared-to-amazing-burgers restaurants we wanted to go to that were in the vicinity of where we were, so we grabbed some cinnamon pretzels bites and went to the movies. I enjoyed Iron Man 2, rather entertaining movie.

After entertainment, Jake decided he wanted TGI Friday’s for dinner. So that’s where we went. Pretty tasty, and I got to have strawberry lemonade (even if it isn’t as fantastic as RT does). We shared some potstickers (something I had never had, amused me because it was like dim sims that couldn’t decide if they were steamed or fried) and then Jake had a burger while I had some yummy chicken with pineapple salsa and mandarin slices on top. And for dessert, the picture above shows the glory. Vanilla bean cheesecake. Tasted like warm icecream (in the best way) and white chocolate mousse. So good. So so good. So much food though. But man, that cake…

So overall, a truly lovely relaxing delicious fun filled weekend of joy and love.
