Admiring your own brand of flavour enhancers

Heh, I didn’t write yesterday. The evening was full, and I didn’t want to try and squeeze a crappy entry in the gaps of stuff so I just didn’t.

So… yesterday. We were getting groceries delivered by Peapod in the evening so we had no food for cooking dinner. So we went and grabbed some Subway. Mmm. And somehow I ate a whole footlong. I was going to save half for lunch today but Jake convinced me to just eat it all or something. Twas yummy. Mmm. And to make the trip worth it we also went to Kmart and Borders. Kmart had tshirts that OH I wanted… but I would never wear so I wouldn’t buy. Plus, I’m getting one I would wear… it’s en route right now. And it’s purple, and doesn’t have tour dates on it, and isn’t faded to make it look old school or anything like that. But still, made me happy to see such things. And then in Borders I got yet another magazine. Haven’t read it yet, but I really need to stop buying things. I have a stack of I think it is 8 or 9 magazines on this desk that I’ve bought in the last month and a bit, I don’t usually buy any. People need to stop exploiting that thing inside me as an MJ fan to just buy (or at least think of buying!) everything I see featuring him. Seriously. Can’t wait for my shirt to show up though, it better be as good looking as it appears to be online.

We came home and watched The Butterfly Effect 2… I don’t know why I thought I wanted to watch that. It was more confusing than the first one. But at the same time… less so. I don’t know. We stopped it halfway because the groceries appeared at the door (well… not magically… there was a truck outside and then a guy came up the stairs with all the bags and put them in the kitchen and I checked it all over and then signed for it and then the man and the truck left… but still! It’s like magic!!) so they needed to be put away. I discovered that our ‘new’ fridge is pretty awesome, it has a massive tray/drawer thing that so very easily holds the bulk pack of chicken that I normally had to clear space for. So that made me happy. If only it would stop leaking water, I would be ecstatic! That’s a minor inconvenience though, compared to not having a working fridge at all. Very easy to keep a towel at the front and just forget about it, but I keep taking it away so we don’t forget so we can actually tell someone because it is silly.

After the movie was new Monk and then new Psych and then it was bedtime and that was why none of this appeared 24 hours earlier.

Today we waited around a bit, hung out, did not much.. until about midday when Pam brought our freezerables over. So nice of her to keep them frozen for us. But they are back in the cold place now and that makes me happy because now we actually have stuff to make meals with! Stuff we need to use up now because I am a bit worried that the life exxpectancy of our frozen things is shorter due to their repeated frozen-unfrozen-frozen dance. Once that was all away we did the most fun thing ever. Sat at a laundromat for 2 hours while our clothes went round and round and round – first in a wet environment, then in a very hot dry environment! And now they are lacking in smells and stains! So that’s great.

Umm…. what else… we made burgers! And they were really delicious. And they featured nice griddled slices of tomato. I would’ve prefered fresh but the tomato our Peapod packer picked out for us is MASSIVE… kinda like this one. Only there is no adorable sample-size bottle of olive oil to compare it to. And so it was very… too hard. So cooking made it mmm.

I know I had more words but I got distracted by my photobucket. I need to reorganise that thing again. I’m not even done fixing it up since last time I did! There are way too many pictures in there.

“freezerables” I think that is an awesome word… it even looks cool on the screen. 🙂 I loved your description of doing the laundry, that made me smile. ~Shady

Our old fridge had a tray underneath to catch water, and if it got full for some reason (like the freezer iced up and we had to thaw it to get repaired) then we had to pull it out to empty it. We opened the door wide and pulled it from in front. If you have fridge all the way to the floor then it isn’t the same as our old one. Massive tomato!!

Butterfly Effect was a great movie…I didn’t even know there was a 2nd one and I’m NOT interested! lol Peapod sounds awesome. *

Ugh, I always hated going to the laundromat. It was a nice chance to sit and read, sure, but you have to get up every 15 minutes to put in detergent or move clothes to the dryer or fold dry stuff or whatever. The only advantage of our laundromat is that it’s across the street from White Castle. ::laughs::

Mmm, Subway; I’m all about the turkey, especially with banana peppers. What kind did you nom on?
