A synonym for cinnamon

I can’t think of what order to write things in.

My hair feels incredibly short lately. I haven’t done anything to it, it still tickles my inner elbow, it just feels… short.

I have to make at least 3 phone calls tomorrow. According to my cell phone’s self-records, I’ve made 10 calls in the last 12 months, so 3 in one day is pretty massive for me. I have to make an appointment for Jake to see a blood specialist, call his doctor so he knows who to fax the test results to, and call Lisa (Jake’s mum) so she knows when the appointment is. Fun. But… yeah. Jake recently had routine blood work done and his platelets are low. Got tested again, lower. I refuse to google to find out anything about this because I know me, I am paranoid and worrisome and so… I refuse. Doctor says could be the meds, Jake says lack of red meat in his diet, Lisa said something about potentially caused by the radiation from the gamma knife procedure a few years ago… we’ll find out when we find out. Hopefully it is something minor and easily fixable.

(I love writing my name in the soap when I clean the griddle. I tried to take pictures of a baby ladybug today [babybug? ladybaby?] but it kept flying away so soap picture is my daily photo)

We have 3 family-filled dinners coming up in the next 3 weeks, so that shall be lovely. This weekend Jake’s younger stepsister Kristen is graduating from college, so there is a big family dinner afterwards. The week after we are having dinner with Jake’s mum to celebrate his birthday. And on the 31st we are going to Nick (Jake’s brother) and Stacy’s place for dinner. So much interaction!

Speaking of interaction, Mum asked in our daily email yesterday if I would ‘mind’ if she came to stay for a week. So that is FREAKIN AWESOME! I wasn’t expecting to see her until we go home for Christmas time. Very very super exciting. She hasn’t seen this place (any more than you guys have, through pictures and the one crappy tour video I did when we were sort of freshly moved in [2 years ago!] that had no sound…) so that’ll be cool. I wonder if she’ll get the ‘Nanna’ vibe I often feel in the kitchen. Totally reminds me of my Nanna’s place, not just the kitchen… I don’t know why, but it does. But it will be interesting if she gets it. She probably won’t, she knows that house much better than I do.

So… yeah.

Bless Jake, I’m sure he’s gonna be fine. ;u; Tell him to eat more leafy dark-green veggies, those are awesomesauce for blood-related things. They also supply iron which is yay for platelets and general blood health. Methinks he just needs more (preferably raw) veggies and fruits in his diet. Since yumful summer fruits are coming in, now is a good time to start enjoying them in massive quantities!

Baby lady bugs got in my Mom’s house every winter and I would keep them in a container with fruit and stuff and watch them grow up, very interesting! I like Baby Bug!
