These are the purple trees with flowers outside our windows. (or maybe they are purple flowers on trees? :-P) I didn’t know until going outside to take this picture that there are in fact TWO trees. Which is kinda cool. I love that there is pretty around here.

Today was another long and uber-productive Thursday. That makes two in a row! Today we went to Walt’s, got my man all sexified for his getting a state ID (seeing as his driver’s license expired more than a year ago, and he needs SOME valid ID so he doesn’t have to carry his passport around). Then we went to planned parenthood and spent $154 on birth control.Which I think it pretty good for 7 months worth! I go there twice a year, I do not want to need to go back any more than that. So now I’m protected till April. Oh yeah. Sex ahoy. (I totally typed Sez instead of sex. That hasn’t happened in a while.

Next stop: DMV. Where we waited in line for what seemed like FOREVER. Didn’t help that the only lady at the counter kept getting up and going for walks around the place, about 3 walks per customer. At least. Man that was slow. Good thing I had a wad of papers in my hand, I had something to blow cool breeze on me so I didn’t pass out. I had to be careful to limit the length of my blinks, as if they were too long I would’ve just gone to sleep.

I did my test. You have to get 12 out of 16 right. I only answers 13 questions. Because that was all it did before being all YOU PASSED. Was cool, the touch screen computer thing would tell me as I did each question if it was wrong or right. And for the one wrong one it told me what the correct answer was. That was the one thing in which I think the american system is better than the oz one. Which might be different now, being… how many years since I did my test there? almost 6? Yeah. I’m old.

OH! For once, when someone asked me my age, I answered straight away. Correctly. I haven’t been able to do that since I was 18 and I knew I was 18 coz I could drive alone. And had P plates.

So I do my driving test on Sept 3rd. Long wait. And some point in there we are looking at cars. Because apparently you can get a decent car that works for about $1000. I don’t think I believe that. Depends on the definition of decent, I’m guessing.

The garden at the opening to the parking lot outside. Ain’t it pretty? I love looking out the window and seeing a whole bunch of colours. Especially as I don’t have to do ANYTHING for them to be there.

After 2.5 hours at the DMV, we left. Went to the laundromat where we spent 1.5 hours sitting around watching cartoons. Of course, as soon as Skunk Fu came on, I had to stop watching and fold my clothes and leave. Ever since we saw the starting in Ireland, I have wanted to watch the actual show to see what it is about. Now I have seen the starting 2 times. Yargh.

Next we went to Barnes & Noble. Lisa was VERY HAPPY to take me there to get some books, as she is in love with that place. Jake and I got a giant shortbread sugar cookie and a caramel frapathingy to share. Sugar = WOO for the Sez. Prevents fainting and all that. So does food, but when you haven’t had any all day, sugar comes in handy. We didn’t finish the cookie, there is 1/4 of it in front of me right now. It is SO GOOD. I want to make cookies this good. YUM. It’s like an orgasm burger, except it’s not a burger, and the only mess on my pants is cookie crumbs. It’s all deliciously flaky and yet soft and awesome and I love big cookies. They are like… the giants of cookies. Duh.

I also got some books. All crimey ones of course. One by the author of the book I just finished reading, so I think shall be good. One that is big and has lots of stories, also good. And one that my teacher recommended to me back in… 2000. That’s now 2 out of about 5 books she told me I’d like. The one I have read, she was right. Jake got a book of crossword puzzles. Coz he is awesome.

Grocery store, where we spent the most amount of money I have ever spent grocering. Was mostly stocking up on things I know Peapod doesn’t have, and therefore I don’t know when I will be able to get. Which was ‘a lot’ of items in the beauty/body cleaning aisles, where things cost more money.

OH! We also went to Kmart, where new clothes mysteriously appeared. I seem to only go there when things are on sale, even though I have no idea of such until I am inside. I ended up with 3 stripey tops. And Jake can pose wise Mario posing on him.

Dude. I’m thirsty. I don’t like getting home from errands an hour later than we would normally be having dinner. Because we have to shower beforehand, and then dinner, and then everything is about an hour or so behind ‘schedule’. So it’s 11pm and I haven’t have my 9pm milo yet. Which is why the cookie is now gone. I was hungry.

Title: We watched Craig Ferguson on the Late Late Show with dinner, as usual. He was discussing why we don’t all look good naked. Because if we did… everyone would be naked and title would be what is happening. Apparently.

Outside had too many pretty things. And with a camera on hand…. pictures happen.
