The Suburbs

Blah.

My dad broke a finger at work today… I blame the cold and the fact that he does construction. He’s fine and workmens comp should take care of it but it just reminds me that’s he’s getting older. Granted he’s only 52 but still.

The Chiefs game was a ton of fun, I lost money in the end over those football tickets: $200… plus I spent $70 on tailgating crap. Oh well.

Work is puttering along. I overdrew my checking account hardcore this week so I have to work to pay that off… but I have a good sized training paycheck coming my way next week plus the tips I make this week. I love that BOA waits 5 business days before they charge you the $35 overdraft fee, but I have a reward card from when I opened this account that will waive a onetime fee, so I’ll just use it then to avoid the charge.

I also have a paycheck from NM coming in on Monday so I have to drive up to Manhattan to get it… if I dont have to work I’ll just drive up that day to pick it up and come straight back. I need to call K State and set up a payment plan for the last bit of money so I can enroll… I’ve been procrastinating hardcore on that and I need to get my butt in gear.

I also need to pay off the last $600 I owe Sallie Mae… that cunt, I thought I was done with her.

Gonna hang out with Amy McG this weekend!!! I cant remember the last time I saw her. Did dinner with Ilene and Alli a couple of weeks ago and that was fun! We should do it again soon please 🙂

Used the IRS tax calculator a bit ago and so far it says that I overpayed like $3300 this year… helloooooo tax return! Old Chicago might earn me some extra $$$ too actually. That’s exciting.

Still browsing cars, I dont know why. I know what I want. But I digress, looking is fun. I just can’t wait to have my own damn car again after such a long time. Sarah wants to get rid of her 2007 Focus and she only has $7000 left to pay on it, but it’s a hatchback and it doesnt really suit me. I mean I love it and it drives fine but I want a 4 door and I want a newer car anyhow. That and it got flooded a few months ago so I’m not wanting to deal with any long term issues that may pop up. I’m picky, but I have the money to back it up, I’ll be fine.

I’ve come to the realization that this month in Wichita came at a good time, but I dont think I could ever live here again. I like Manhattan, but I want to move somewhere else… I would love to end up in Dallas, but if something were to come up in KC I would be fine with that too. A lot of my good college friends live in both cities plus I enjoy visiting both places. We’ll see how the future works itself out I guess.
