The End – Week Twenty Nine

I wrapped up my last shift at the Inn tonight.

It probably wont hit me till tomorrow night or Monday morning when I hit the road for Santa Fe that I’m actually leaving this place.

7 looooooong months away from home, my friends, my family, and I’m leaving so much better for the experience. I appreciate the simplicity of living, which is something I could never have experienced in the city. Granted Manhattan isnt a BIG city but still you know what I mean.

I’m coming back to New Mexico next weekend to wrap up an event that I am doing for Mr Noble and then I’m on the road back to Kansas again on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. My old roomie Sarah talked her boss at Old Chicago into hiring me for the winter, so now I have something to do to keep me productive while I’m in Wichita. I talked to one of my friends who is a hardcore gymrat in Manhattan and he is going to set up a fitness plan for me, I put on quite a bit of weight while I was here. I don’t like it. Rural New Mexico is not known for it’s abundance of gyms and it shows on me.

After Wichita, back to Manhattan and school – now that everything is taken care of I feel like there is no pressure. A lot of people push things on me: music, movies, activities, etc, and I HATE that. I prefer doing things in my own time. School is one of them, I’ve found out. I’m going to finish, but I dont want to be pushed to the finish line.

I have a lot of money tied up all over the place right now and it’s all due to return to me in the next few weeks, thank god. That’s all Christmas money.

Did I mention I upgraded my phone? I figured I could reward myself some more for sticking it out here. I finally got rid of my Blackberry and got an Android phone – I’m very impressed with it. If you have Sprint – get the Samsung Epic.

Next big thing: Kansas City on the weekend of December 3rd, super excited to see the Hilleys and to see the Chiefs rail on the Broncos.

Kansas I’m coming home!!!!!
