Spring 2012 redux
So after much deliberation I have settled for the following classes:
ENGL 100 – Expository Writing 1
SPAN 530 – Spanish for Professions with Emphasis on Health, Social Work and Related Fields
SPAN 550 – Introduction to Literature in Spanish
SPAN 565 – Spanish Civilization
CIS 102 – Intro to PC/Spreadsheets
Basically after this semester I have 9 more credit hours to complete at the 700 level to finish my major, but I am also going to take SPAN 575 (Spanish Translation: Concepts and Practices) and SPAN 670 (Applied Spanish Linguistics) because they go with my plans to go into administrative healthcare in the sense that I need to get comfortable in translation and interpretation, and I still have to to complete my general education requirements. Since this is going to complete my major quicker than I thought, I can realistically take the two classes I need to complete my Mass Communications major and since all my Spanish classes coincide with the requirements for the International Studies major, I only have one more class to take for that major before it’s done, which is an independent study course where I have to write a 25 page paper over a specific topic. I got this.
Financial aid had to be appealed AGAIN, but after this semester I dont have to do it any more. Thank GOD. They put a hold on my account over it and it finally was cleared on Friday, which means I receive my disbursement on Thursday. That will go towards rent and bills, and whatever is left after that goes to the car down payment. Its time to finally get the ball rolling on that.
I got my retroactive credit finally! I’m only 9 credit hours away from finally becoming a Junior, so after this semester I am pretty much set. Just have to spend more time in Hale… but I am confident. Bring it on, semester!
