Hair grow back faster, a myth or what?

heyy, i was wondering of shaving or anything similar (like dissolving the hair) would make the hair grow back faster… or is that a myth or what? cuz my girlfriend is gunna get a brazilian :O..1) it’ll hurt like crazy 2) she wants to get it dun in the summer so we um.. *ahem* get the most out of it 3) summer is in 5 months! and i know the only thing keeping her from anything is the fact that she has hair down there and is a lil self conscience… but if u can answer that question then she cud shave n we can go at it whenever, and not only for a month or so in the summer (cuz im not lettin her get it more than once, even tho she’ll wanna.. i’ll feel bad lol)

Shaving, Waxing or how ever you remover the hair in time it will come back and you will have to do something about it again if you don’t want the hair there. Shaving with a razor or using Nair (or something like Nair) will make your hair grow back faster, this is not a myth. I’m not sure how long it will take, but those make the hair come back faster then waxing.

The Brazilian Wax will last for about one to two months before stubble appears, and normal waxing can last for an average of hour to six weeks. I don’t know if it depends on the kind of wax you us or not to if it will be more or less then that. So if she does do the Brazilian Wax it will last the longest, but only for about a month or two.

You wouldn’t want her to do it again, well if you want her not to have hair there anymore she will have to do it again or do something again for her not to have hair there. Just depends on how long you want it to be gone for to what you use to remove it. Hope this helped, and sorry this is so late. Take Care!

i think she was asking if shaving makes the hair GROW faster. that is a myth. the hair grows at the same rate whether you shave or not

so if u shave or not, the hair grows @ the same rate right? im guessing wax just takes out more of the hair from the root which is y it doesn’t come back as fast? lol im guessin…

I am a beauty therapist, so i can answer this question properly! What she needs to do, if she wants to get the most out of waxing is to go in, get it done, and see how long it takes to grow back. talk to your therapist about it, hair grows in cycles, if you get it at the right time each cycle, it wont come back for 4-6 weeks at least, as the follicle still goes through the cycle without the hair.

The hair in waxing is taken from the follicle, so the entire hair is removed. with dipillatory creams, the hair is taken from just under the skin which is why it grows back in a week or so, and with shaving the hair is just cut off at the surface of the skin.
