thanks but no.

I don’t really get it.

I cannot find a teaching job for the life of me.

I have excellent references, I interview well, and I have experience in three different goddamn subject areas.

For some reason though, I don’t even warrant a call for an interview.  If I could just get a damn interview I could get the job, no problem.  Only one district has even bothered to let me know thtat they had reviewed my file and went with someone else.  That would be a welcome change.

I still have one application out and am looking for others.  I’m a pretty optimistic guy, so I guess I can look at it any number of ways.  The nice thing about nothing is that it leaves a lot of different avenues.  I’ve got nothing for now, but in the words of Paul Newman, "Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand."

I’m impressed that you even want to be a teacher. the idea of it makes me want to vomit. the amount of patience it must requires. what grades do you want to teach? little kids are ok i guess. i hope to good you’re not trying to teach high school!

that’s ridicously impressive. although i’d like you more if you didnt teach math. i hate math…always have. which made me instantly dislike all my math teahcers.

I really know how you feel. I’m also a teacher looking for a job and it’s hard. I finally accepted a 6 week long-term sub job just to get the school year started. Good luck though with your search and I hope something does come up soon.

Oh no, I’m sorry you haven’t found anything yet. I have two friends going through the same thing right now….one is looking for a high school math teaching job, and the either is licensed 7-12 for English. I wish you all the best of luck!! 🙂
