Second Mile
In which our Hero stops by for a brief station identification
I’m getting scolded for not writing, but honestly, I’m just not feeling it. The words are happening but by the time I get to the where and the when, the motivation is gone.
So I’m on a bit of a walkabout. I was thinking of saying that I was traveling a lot for work, that always has a ring to it and it’s exciting and glamorous and sadly untrue.
Life is okay. Work is a lot crazy right now with the unusual and curious condition of three projects all coming online within weeks of each other. It’s violently straining my indifference.
Love is good. She’s still far beyond my reach, but our roads are converging. And the company is pretty wonderful.
Which is why I’m stopping by here after two years of this relationship. Because in case my Nocturne stops by, I want to wish her a very happy anniversary.
I love you, Buttons.

Don’t you always have three projects at once? Just sayin’. The note to Buttons is sweet

I was just thinking about you last night and was going to drop you a line to make sure you’re in one piece. You’ve saved me the effort. Be well, kiddo.

Whoo-hoo! Two years 🙂 And the phrase “violently straining my indifference” is excellent. Hope work calms down soon, I can empathize with you on the “crazy” part.

Really? Two years? I never thought time could pass so quickly, but now I’m old, and I get it. Happy anniversary, and come back to us when you feel like it. You’re one who can pick up anywhere like no time has passed. I’d like to hear about your fictional, glamorous work travels!
