My body conspires against me. When I got here, my face was really irritated, red and blotchy. That’s mostly gone, but I’ve had a blemish on my nose which keeps bleeding, and a cold which gets worse and worse. This morning, I couldn’t open my right eye, because it was sore and glued shut. My head, ears, throat and nose are all suffering. Twelve hours wait in Times Square to see the ball drop? Maybe not…
