um.
Coworkers asked if I had plans for the long weekend. I told them I’m going to Kansas. Coworkers asked why, I told them football.
All the coworkers said something about ‘taking the interstate’. I told them I wasn’t taking the interstate. They asked why I was taking highways and not the interstate. I said the highways were way faster than the interstate. They were confused. Coworkers assumed I was going to Kansas City. I NEVER said I was going to Kansas City. When I said I am going to the USD/KState football game, they all thought KState was not where it actually is. I eventually said the town, Manhattan. Then another coworker said, ‘you’re going to New York?’.
Even if where I’m going is on or near an Interstate if I’m not pressed for time I usually take the old U.S. Highways instead. You see so many interesting things that way. Enjoy the game!
@toyman I like taking the back roads sometimes too. My boyfriend doesn’t like it
