period
I got my period yesterday afternoon. The first couple days are always freaking awful. Today….awful beyond awful. I’m glad this isn’t happening at work. I’ve had hours upon hours of cramps. The only time I mostly felt semi ok is when I took a 2nd shower. I feel best when I have nothing on (nothing to collect the blood). But have to have something. And can’t spend hours in the shower/bath. Drugs and heating pad aren’t working. It’s my bedtime now, not sure I’ll sleep well. I’m hoping that writing this I can take my mind off the pain. Maybe make an appointment with a gyno.
I’ve heard ladies say that periods get worse after having a child. With my period now I had watery eyes. I can’t imagine worse. I’ve had cramps like this before, where I’d basically be crying. I hear birth control can help. But boyfriend and I want to have a kid.
We went to Sioux City today. Just to get out of the house. Went to the mall. Sioux City is nice in the fact their shopping is all in 1 area.
I had all the clocks in the house changed for the daylight savings thing. But not my car clock.
So when we got to Sioux City, my car said the time was just after 11:30. Barnes and Noble opened at 11, so we figured we’d go in there til noon and then look at other places in the mall…….but the actual time was 10:30. So we were super early for all the shopping. We went to eat fast food. I wanted a sit down place, but most opened at 11. Both of us were hungry. So settled on Hardee’s.
The Barnes and Nobel in Sioux City is small. Didn’t take long to look around. So we went to Scheel’s. That’s not a big place either, so got bored til other stores opened in the mall (stores opened at noon).
I guess laptop is about to die. Can’t write more now
Do you maybe have uterine fibroids? I just found out that I’ve had a bunch all of my life, and that that’s why my periods (before taking bc pills) were so heavy, long, and there was so much blood. My bc pills help make things easier, but I’m gonna try for a kid next year, so considering surgery for removal, and going through all of that. Fibroids are apparently super common (80% of women have it), and they cause these terrible periods. I’m not a doctor, but since I’ve been talking to my doctor about this lately, I figured I’d share.
@free_spirit_gal Oh maybe! thanks for sharing.
@serenadeoliver You’re welcome. 🙂 I’d get an ultrasound, if possible. But again, not a doctor, and basing this on my recent experience. Either way, I hope you figure it out and feel better soon.
