Oh boy!!!

I went to Our Lady of Libera Church this afternoon.

The Mass offerred was dedicated to St. Anthony of Pauda..who is the Patron St of anything lost, the poor, the destitute and of women who wants to find a spouse.

This is attributed to him because he had a great love for Jesus and a respect for His parents. There is a popular song amongts the Cubans that says,

“Oh Glorious St. Anthony….Find me a rich boyfriend!”

Oh, San. Antonio…consigame un novio que tenga dinero”

They say if you want to find love, you take the image of St. Anthony, put it upside down on a Tuesday night and soon enough the Patron St. will find you a spouse.

Well, I didn’t put him upside down, but I did buy a statue of the St. and prayed hard to him….it is a coincidence that I bought the statue of St. Anthony precisely on the Eve of the e-mail I wrote Alex! The next day, Alex declared his love for me!

St. Anthony is my patron St. anyways…Anthony is the name of my late grandfather. It is also Alex’s third name…his full name is Alexander Frederick Anthony!

When I got back from Church I had to face a group of 7 pre-schoolers who came to hear me read. They were the cutest things! All of them were very inquisitive and they interrupted my readings, but three of them hugged me so tight and they were very delightful.

As they were watching a Berenstein Bear video, Alex came on ICQ. He told me he had posted my Easter Gift yesterday and that he wished I got it in time for Easter.

We spoke for 5 minutes. He sent me a nice e-mail tonight!

I was so delighted.

I am home now! I have taken a long bath and will now take a nap. Later I will have some dinner.
