Bank Holiday

It’s the August Bank Holiday! There is no work tomorrow! Hurray!! Hubby and I are resting and enjoying our long weekend! Yesterday the family went to Port Meadows. Alex scattered his Mum’s ashes over a bridge at Port Meadows. Afterwards the family had a quiet family picnic at the picnic area. I’ve begun to learn how to knit. It’s my latest hobby! I bought myself some knitting needles and two knitting books and two skeins of yarn. I hope to learn to make scarves by next Spring! Alex’s sister, Kim, has been teaching me the steps and stitches! I know now how to cast on, knit and bind off! These are the basic steps in knitting. I have yet to master the ‘purl’ stitch! Once I’ve mastered these four basic stitches I’m well on my way to become a knitter.
