Today Hubby and I arose at 6AM! I had my usual cup of cofee at that time and came to bed again and began to read another chapter of ‘The Other Woman’ a novel by Jane Green. It was an interesting sort of day today! The weather has been warm today. At One O’clock I went out and about and went to Boots and then to Peacocks to get myself two boxes of knickers of five a box at £4 each and Hubby a Homer Simpson’s night set for £10.00.

I am cooking a Souperior Meatloaf…a recipe that I got from the back of a Lipton Onion Soup mix.

SOUPERIOR MEAT LOAF

1 envelope Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Onion Soup Mix

2 lbs. ground beef

3/4 cup plain dry bread crumbs*

2 eggs

3/4 cup water

1/3 cup ketchup

1. Preheat oven to 350°. In large bowl, combine all ingredients.

2. In 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan, shape into loaf.

3. Bake uncovered 1 hour or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

*Substitution: Use 1-1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs or 5 slices fresh bread, cubed.

SLOW COOKER METHOD: In slow cooker, arrange meat loaf. Cook covered on LOW 6 to 8 hours or HIGH 4 hours. (HELPFUL HINT…Place meat loaf on a piece of cheesecloth, then on a rack to help hold meat loaf together while lifting in and out of slow cooker.)

I quite enjoyed that book, it is the opposite of you…she moves to the US! I really liked Jemima J (sp) by the same author.
