I Don’t Usually watch Oprah

*I usually don’t watch Oprah (thats for sure) but I found myself plopped on my mom’s chaise lounge in front of the tv watching the episode broadcasted today.  It was about the Air Force and the brutal secrets of sexual assualts, rape and cruelty that goes on in the academy.  As a female I was deeply effected but more so I was shaken because I have a meeting tomorrow with an Air Force official to talk about admission.  YES, I feel like an idiot! I was actually considering joining the academy.  I was immediately sold when the rep told me it would pay for all my college expenses for any school I chose. Like a fool, I was giddily parading around my house saluting every one and bidding them a premature farewell.  Although I was not aware of the things that went on in there, I somehow feel that I should have known.  That it would have been my fault if I had joined the AF under the pretenses that I would be respected, and honored, and trained.  Hearing the stuff the victims said was shocking, degrading, and unbelievably depressingThe world today…

On a happier note, I got 22 out of 25 on my AP Calculus quiz!  I should really be doing my homework right now. Guess ya kno wat that means!

Next time: I will argue with myself about whether or not going to Africa this summer would be a good idea, discuss plans of action I can take to get accepted to Princeton and tell you how my appointment with the cadet from the Air Force goes tomorrow…{insert evil, menacing, cackle here}

My friend is at the Air Force Academy right now and I’m always worried about her. I had another friend who was discharged from the miliary because he had medical problems. Craziness. As for Oprah, I never saw that – but I have seen pieces done on that on 20/20 and other such shows. RYN: You’re more than welcome to add me to your favorites. I’m alright – somehow still surviving. ;)Take care.

hope things get clear to u, sure it’s alright to add me to ur favorits.in fact i’d love a little guiding in each entry..u know if u have any idea on how to make my writing better then..i apprciate it. best wishes wherever u go.
