relationship status

so i’m officially in a relationship. like, changed my facebook status and everything. and i know people put too much weight on facebook but this is a big deal–it’s been almost 2.5 years since i have called myself anything other than single. you guys, i’m a girlfriend. i really don’t remember how to be one of those. i feel like i kinda have to remind myself that no, you can’t set up 5 dates for this week. i’m half joking.

it’s the same guy, dan, who i think i wrote about having a surprisingly good first date with about a month ago. it was kind of a different start with him than i’ve ever had before-usually when i get into any sort of dating/relationship with a guy, we have a super strong spark/attraction on the first date and then things tend to move at lightening speed from there (and then often go downhill just as fast). with dan, it’s been a steady uphill. first date was good but not crazy good, and then each date from there i started to like him more and more until i was seeing him a few times a week and spending full weekends together and missing him in between.

he is really, genuinely nice to me and i allow it, which is different for me as well. plus our sex is beyond amazing so that helps.
