Weekend Update *pictures*
Dear Diary,
I’m going to take a break from the Spring Break vacation pictures to do a daily life update. It’s mostly from this weekend but there may be a few other tid bits thrown in.
- I’ll start with today… It’s Snowing!!! It didn’t bring a snowday that allowed us to stay home from school and work but it is snowing none – the -less. When I walked into my office this morning this was my view…
It has continued to snow and is so pretty! Reagan got to head out on the playground with his Kindergarten friends today. One of his teachers sent me this…
Adorable!
- Now going to the opposite end of the spectrum…. On Saturday afternoon I headed down to the beach camper. This coming Easter weekend they plan to replace the older camper with the newer model. I wanted to help by getting the yardwork in the site down. That mostly is made up of lots and lots of leaf clean up this time of year. I towed 7 big tarps full of leafs to the leaf disposal area in the community where we stay. Sunday I worked about 4 solid hours on it and then was able to move on with my day. I’m a little sore from it all today. It must have been a good workout. I’m excited to get settled into the new camper later this spring!
- While doing the yardwork I listened to a cute book called Emily and Einstein…. It was good entertainment among all the hard, dirty work.
- After the yard work I wandered a couple of the beach towns and did some shopping.
I had fun at the Blooming Boutique in both Rehoboth and Lewes.
I remembered that they carried Lindsay Phillips products and wanted to see if they had any sales. Some of the Switch Flop shoes were on sale 25 – 50% off! Look at this selection! Those are all straps along the walls.
At the first boutique I got this brownish / bronze switch flop that will work with all the differents straps. I also picked out a flater pewter /silver pair.
Next door to this boutique in Rehoboth is a Bake Shoppe.
It was just past lunch time and I had only had some crackers with peanut butter along with coffee. I figured I burned enough calories doing yardwork that I earned a treat. I picked a mini chocolate peanut butter cake. It’s the one in the top middle…
It was really rich. I had maybe 4 or 5 bites and then brought it home to share with the guys. Reagan had a few bites and half of it still sits under the cake dome at home. It was really yummy though… creamy peanut butter center, richy fudgy frosting… delish!
- I was craving something like this because on Saturday night and Sunday morning I curled up in bed, at the beach camper, with my electric blank along with this book…. It’s called Paris, My Sweet.
This author calls NYC home but she moved to Paris for a long term work assignment. She has a crazy sweet tooth for things like chocolate, cupcakes and baked goods. In the book she talks about her favorites in both cities. I’m taking LOTS of notes. I’ll be in NYC for about 5 days a few weeks from now (work seminar but I’ll have evenings and Sunday to explore). I’m hoping to spend about 5 days in Paris in March of 2014. This book makes me SO excited!
- Speaking of travel dreams….. I’ve booked a cruise for this September into October. It’s something like 187 days away but I’m already giddy. I’ll be leaving from Venice and sailing to the Greek Isles. On each end of the 7 day cruise I have a night booked in Venice at the Crown Plaza. NCL took really good care and for the cruise a mini-suite is booked! I’m not a room snob by any means…. You can give me the least expensive inside and I’m happy as can be. That said I do appreciate a balcony and if there is an upgrade deal…. sign me up! There is a day at sea on each end of the cruise and in between the stops are Santorini, Mykonos, Corfu and Olympia. I love this itenary! I’m sure you’ll hear a lot about this trip between now and then. And then I always come back from a trip drowning in pictures that I usually wade through with all of you. Anyway… I’m excited! SO excited!
- Back to this past weekend… In between shopping in the two little beach towns I stopped at an outlet in the area and browsed in my favorite dress shop. There was a dress I saw in their recent catalog and on their website that I tried on and decided to get. I had a 25% off coupon
so the price was pretty good.
Since last summer they have remodeled their store. The new dressing rooms are cute. Me trying on the dress….
It needs to be ironed….
The back of the dress from thier website…
and a couple views of the front from their website…
I also tried on this next dress with the Greek Isles in mind but didn’t love it. And I don’t see myself wearing it for many other things so I didn’t buy it….
It had some pretty detail though…
The remodeled dressing room…
- On my way into Lewes, DE. I tried to purchase our beach pass for the season but the office isn’t open on weekends untill next weekend. They were still on winter hours. A year or so ago this shop sprung up in Lewes….. LOVE a pretty surf shop!
-
The beach in Lewes….
A fun bike shop…. I was actually scopeing out the fabric store next door.
Things are still pretty quiet at the shore. I enjoy going to this restaurant an evening or two a summer during beach season… The Wharf in Lewes Marina.
Same restaurant from the back….
Reagan’s favorite toy store at the beach. Reagan stayed home with Keith. I was away for just about 24 hours and the real goal was to get some of the yardwork done so he decided to hang out with Daddy.
Since we were in Lewes last they opened a new Sweet shop. It’s adorable!
Look at the cute way they are displaying thier candies!
This Easter display with the giant chocolate bunny is precious!
The wall paper they have chosen is adorable!
The chocolate case….

I look forward to bringing Reagan here and letting him pick some treats. We visit the toy store close by a few times during the season…
Kings Homemade Ice Cream is right in this same area, too. We like to go there a few times a Summer, too…
- When I was browsing around in the second beach town there was another Blooming Boutique. I popped in there to look at what Lindsay Phillips items they carried. I got this pair of Snap Shoes 50% off. It’s the same idea as switching the straps but you just switch the doodad instead. I thought this was a nice, neutral summer pair.
I got this snap to use with the above shoe…. (The tan flower unsnaps and you can add the one below. There are a lot of different styles of shoes and snaps similar to the switchflops.)
While there I also picked out this strap for the switch flops…
Somehow I had hung onto this delight for a couple of hours without trying it but I tried some before making the trip home… So yummy!
- This trip I finally gave one of my Christmas presents a try. Keith had given me a window mount for my phone. It took me a bit to figure it out but once I did I decided I really like it! I still prefer the Tom Tom GPS over the phone navigation but either gets the job done.
- Here are some recent "What I Wore" pics. Since returning from Spring Break to still cold , grey weather I feel pretty uninspired but I’ve continued to take pics here and there anyway… It’s all work outfits from the past week or so…
<img class="largePrevImg" alt="" src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a3dd04b3127ccef2e6db251b6e00000030O08AbsXDZu4bNAe3nwQ/cC/f%3D0/ls%3D00004687681720130325172731747.JPG/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/” />
- Last week or so Luvinmybri (<—- I think she still uses that here) shared a Tater Tot Mexican Caserole bake. We tried it last Friday night and it was a hit in our home, too.
- I took Reagan to visit with the Easter Bunny on Saturday. I’ll share those pictures in a seperate entry. I need to download a few of the pics off of the Easter Bunny’s website.
- Going back in the weekend to Saturday I dropped Reagan at a birthday party and enjoyed looking around Old Navy and then Barnes and Noble solo. I picked out a really cute summer outfit for Reagan while at Old Navy…
Look how cute these preppy shorts are. I was afraid Reagan wouldn’t care for them when I showed him but he seemed to think they were cool.
The shirt to pair them with…
I also grabbed a couple pairs of flip flops for him.
There were only a couple new colors of flip flops I wanted. One is a coral and then I grabbed a silverish pair…
I also picked a coral pair of flip flops…
This coral paisley dress….
and a coral tank to layer underneath and to wear with other things, too…
I got the same tank in a green like this, too…
The end of last week I used my JC Penney rewards and ended up getting this dress for just $4. Love deals like that!
And now I should stop shopping until May! I’ve been scrapbook supply shopping, too as I get ready to scrap our Disney albums. I have a ScrapYourTrip.com order coming. I also have been to Michaels a couple of times.
- This past Saturday morning I did scrap the Ocean Beach pictures. I’ll have to share that album soon. I’m almost living faster than I can photograph, share and scrap it. I should slow down just a bit.
- I’m looking forward to the four day weekend for Easter. We don’t have plans to go anywhere. We’ll invite Keith’s mom to join us for Easter. I need to finalize my ideas for Reagan’s basket. This past weekend he asked the Bunny if he could have a Lego jet in his basket. I don’t have it yet so I should shop for that. I’m thinking of making a map of the house and yard and hiding wrapped goodies for him to find using the map. It is still in the beginning stages of planning. I have a few days to pull it all together.
- Our new tenants moved in. It’s a couple with a five year old girl. Keith found and finalized the lease with them while Reagan and I were in CA. I’ve met the man but not the rest yet. We had advertised the property as non-smoking which in our minds meant outside, too. I’m a bit suspiscious that they might be smokers and are stepping outside to smoke. Maybe they figured that would be okay but it really isn’t something I want Reagan seeing at his home on a daily basis. I also don’t want to smell it as I come and go. AND ESPECIALLY when we have our windows open half the year I don’t want smoke wafting in. SO, we are probably going to have to have a tough conversation. Not fun…..
I think that is enough nonsense catch up from me. Happy Monday!
Great photos! What a great place to go walk around! Talk about no one being there!! You live in a fun place!! If I went around to visit all my friends that I’ve made on here and on Facebook, I’d go from East coast to Australia!! Can’t wait to see the pages you’ve done! 🙂 *HUGS*

I have no idea how you can manage so many trips, but that is so darn exciting!!!

That cruise sounds incredible!! When we moved into our last apartment, our neighbors would smoke outside and leave the butts all over the driveway. Gross! I don’t blame you for wanting to keep Reagan away from all that.

I so need you to come style me lol, I need a whole new closet make over 🙂 … have you tried Waze? it is an awesome gps app and works SO much better than anything I have tried (google, mapquest, etc) it even talks to you and you can answer the phone and run other apps and it still continues to work, you can customize your car and colors and everything very cute 🙂 We got the big snow too some
