Weekend Plans

Dear Diary,

Sometime during this past week I decided I was in the mood for a weekend scrapaway.  The timing worked out for one this weekend so I signed up.  I don’t have a lot to catch up on.  My primary goal is to finish the Disney’s California Adventure album from Spring Break.  My only other unfinished project right now is catching up Reagan’s Cub Scout album.  For some reason I didn’t even pack the Cub Scout project.  I’m sort of regretting not bringing it now.   I’m hoping to spend sometime poolside with my nose in a book this weekend, too.  So, maybe it’s a good thing that I don’t have too much scrap along to keep me overly busy.

We had a really nice 5 day weekend at the shore.  There were a couple of evenings with rain but our beach and pool days were beautiful!

When we left on Tuesday to come home my mom left to head back to TN.  Our time with her was good.  I know Reagan enjoyed the break from camp.

This weekend Keith, Reagan and Woody are staying at his Mom’s and getting a bit of cousin time in, too.  Reagan is looking forward to it.

The lucky boy has had a couple of successful play dates with his best buddy from school this summer, too.  It seems like such a big boy thing.  Both boys are new to it but are loving it and doing well with it.  Keith has been arranging and supervising it.  He’s a good daddy!

When he was bringing Reagan to one of the play dates their dog got excited and jumped on my car leaving scratches.  The family was incredibly sorry / offered to pay for the repair, etc.  Keith thought they would just buff out.  He arranged for a neighbor who works at a body shop to try and buff them.  They did that last night and all is well.  The neighbor generously buffed just about my entire car.  It really needed it and it made such a big difference.  I need to do something to thank him.  They just had their first baby this summer, too.  I need to pick up a baby girl gift, too.  I’m thinking card and gift for the baby girl and then a gift card and thank you card for the car buffing help.

I’ve been having quite a bit of fun playing with the Artist Trading Cards.  I need to take pics and do a separate entry on those.  My mom and I made a bunch of birthday cards during her visit, too.  I usually try to share those types of projects here, too. 

I just noticed my ticker shows exactly two months until the cruise! = Exciting!
