Sail Away and Sea Day *pics*

Dear Diary,

The trip up to this point had consisted of flying over night on Thursday, checking into the hotel on Friday morning and then a Friday of sightseeing in Venice.

Saturday I had a nice breakfast at the hotel before heading to the port to the board the ship.  It was probably the smoothest check in I’ve had for a ship…. no lines, no waiting.  Very nice.

The room was ready upon boarding….

A little box of chocolates was a welcome gift….

The bath was on one side of the sink…. and the toilet room on the other….

This MAY have been the ship diarist Lustrous was on…. ??

It was warm out so after a light lunch I found a lounge chair.  I read and enjoyed some music…

The port is adjacent to Venice sort of at one of the ends of the Grand Canal…. near the train station…  That is Venice in the distance in this next one.

 

The dark dome to the left is the train station and then the rooftops of Venice extend past that…

Love the little ship flags!  It’s an embarkation treat….

Sailing away through Venice…

LOVED this five masted ship…. a GREAT BIG boat crush!

This canal that we sailed away through is not the Grand Canal it’s one over from the Grand Canal.  It was a treat to see another area….

At this point I came down from the pool deck andwas taking pictures from the balcony in the room….

The next day (Sunday) was a sea day on the way to Corfu.  It was warm and perfect by the pool.  That’s where I was pretty much the whole day.  I read a book called The Love Letter that I enjoyed.
