Disneyland Part 3 *Pics* (Vaca # 11)

Dear Diary,

Are you tired of vacation pictures yet?  Thanks for putting up with all of this.  It’s fun for me to document it all here.

I left of in my last entry during the afternoon of our Disneyland day.

We were headed to Fantasyland…

Tea Cups!

Dad and Reagan!

I picked up some cute Alice scrap supplies today on my lunch!

A White Rabbit Statue…

This is the White Rabbit’s home…

We checked out the Mad Hatter!

Dad’s Favorite!

Where’d Reagan Go!?

This one COMPLETELY melts me….. How cute are those ears!?

Being silly…

Silly might be his middle name…  Cowboy Woody!

Lots of Mad Hatter options…

Look at the fun ice cream choices!  Reagan tried the first two Mickey shaped ice creams over the two days.  I had one of the third shown… a chocolate covered bananna. That was in honor of my maternal Grandma Dorothy.  That is what I always remember her picking each time she took us.  My dad liked the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches.  I like those, too! But I didn’t have any.  The bananna is a more diet friendly choice even though I was not technically dieting on vacation.

Next we took a spin on King Arthur’s carousel!

This is priceless!  So special….

From the Carousel…

Pinocchio’s Daring Journey ride…

Sleeping Beauty’s Castle…

Mr Toad’s Wild Ride…

The Dumbo Ride…

A Dumbo Topiary…

</div>

Getting ready to go through Sleeping Beauty’s Castle…

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique…

Looking back at the front of the castle…

And the statue of Walt and Mickey with the castle in the background…

Reagan with a bronze Pluto…

Heading into Adventureland…

Time for the Jungle Cruise….

Along the cruise…

Tiki Room Time!

I’m not sure what these two are up to but I like that they were able to have fun with eachother from the start….

Birds in the Tiki Room….  (you guys should be glad I don’t know how to add music in with the pictures)

Into Frontierland…. Tarzan’s Treehouse…

Hong Kong Disneyland’s Treehouse is Tarzan themed, too.  This one at  Disneyland used to be Swiss Family Robinson.  Magic Kingdom’s in Florida still has a Swiss Family Robinson.

Tom Sawyer’s Island…

Reagan tried his first Churro and loved it.  He had another the next day…

The Critter Country sign…

Splash Mountain… one of the rides Reagan has put on hold until he is 8…

Davy Crockett Canoes…

From the New Orleans Station in Frontierland we rode the Disney Railroad to Tomorrowland…

A couple of pictures at dusk in Tomorrowland…

At this point we are headed down Main Street to find a spot to sit for the evening parade…

We found an empty bench and called it home for the parade.  I took Reagan into the Guest Services office on Main Street and they gave him a Disneyland, California First Visit button….

Dad was saving our spot on the bench.  Reagan and I popped into a giftshop right there.  I found a pair of hidden Mickey flower earrings that I HAD to have…..  My souvenir…

Reagan tried on some big boy ears.  I’m still partial to the little ears he’s wearing that we got on his first visit to Disney World at 6 months.  I’m going to keep him in those as long as I can….

Both Reagan and I did some pin trading while in this store…  Reagan traded with this cast member.  After trading she also gave him a Mickey figurine for free that is for a different type of trading.  I can’t remember the name of the type of trading… something "mation"

We rejoined Grandpa and when I noticed it was getting chilly I made a quick run for hot cocoa before the parade started.  I took these while in line for cocoa…

So cute!

MInnie led the parade…

Mickey up top…

Goofy…

Donald…

Dale! You can tell by the red nose… Chip’s is black… (I picked up a cute sheet of Chip and Dale embellishments on my lunch today, too)

Princess dresses!

The princess float…  Sleeping Beauty and Snow White…

Rapunzel…
<img class="zoomPrevImg" alt="" src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a3dd26b3127ccef2da84cd7a7000000050O08AbsXDZu4bNAe3nwQ/cC/f%3D0/ls%3D00004687681720130307144700594.JPG/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/&#8221; />

Cinderella and Belle….

From Aladdin…

Genie…

Tiana from The Princess and the Frog…

There were a lot of fun costumes in between the floats in the parade…

Peter Pan…

Mary Poppins…

The parade ended our night at Disneyland.  We headed back to my Aunt Helen’s for a good night’s sleep before going to California Adventure the next day.  Stay tuned….

I am definitely not tired of the pictures. I may never have a chance to see all of these fun places so it is nice to see your pictures. I am surprised that people are allowed to try on all the hats and ears… I wonder if they ever have a problem with lice because of it. I love Reagan’s face in the Woody ears picture. So expressive. What was the difference between the two ice cream treats on the

outsides? They look the same to me but I can’t read what the description says. Love the carousel picture. 🙂 When you say that you picked up these Disney scrapbook pieces over lunch–where did you find them? Do you have a Disney store in your town? A woman who was a student teacher in one of my classes when I was in high school became a friend of mine and we still talk 9-13 years later (I don’t

remember which year of high school I was in). She sent me this huge package yesterday full of scrapbook supplies that she has no use for since she knows I am in to making cards. As I was going through it all (tons of stuff!), several things reminded me of you.

the tiki room was one of the first things we did in disney world (after ride the train) and OMG i was like WHAT THE HECK. LOL. i thought it was more annoying than anything else and expected the birds to blow up or something. (i know bah humbug, after we were there for a few minutes i figured out that disney is a happy place). it didnt help that we had woken up at 5am and drove to philly and goton an airplane and everything before we hit the park. (we hit the ground running on that vacation). i always wonder if the people who are in the parades lose a ton of weight when they first start, cause it seems like they do a long loop a few times a day. my mom tells me that when you are a character you have so set times you are allowed to be out in public, i want to say like 45 mins (her ex b/f was chip or dale in florida in the 1980s) and then like 2 hours off. plus back then they made like 35 an hour. could you imagine? ill have to ask her again since it has been a long time since we talked about it. and im definately not tired of your pics.

Do they have the Illumination Parade at Disneyland. Those were always fun to see at WDW. Man Tom Sawyer island looks so dreary compared to everything else in DL.
