Catch Up! Birthday Part 1 *pics*

Dear Diary,

In my mind it should be easier to keep up here in the summer but in reality it never happens that wey.  I have several picture groups I want to share:

  • scrapping last weekend
  • Reagan’s actual birthday at home
  • Our adventure to the Lego Discovery Center for Reagan’s birthday
  • The birthday party with friends and family
  • The Scouts night at the local baseball stadium
  • and a bit of Father’s Day

I’m going to start with pics from his actual birthday night at home.  I couldn’t take that day off of work.  I had a meeting that couldn’t be missed.  So, Reagan went to camp that day.  We brought mini cupcakes and popsicles for him to share with is Day Camp group.  They also went bowling that day.  I stopped by the bowling alley on the way to my meeting to surprise Reagan but Reagan’s group had not yet arrived there.  I didn’t have the time to wait so I just left a Happy BIrthday message with his teacher and then saw him that evening.

The night before his birthday I finished getting his gifts prepared (mostly legos!) and set up a fun display on top of the piano.  After it was all set up I suggested he practice and when he walked up to the piano and saw the presents his little face lit up!

The evening on his actual birthday he chose one of the larger presents to open….

In the big box was a Lego Dock set with a dock and boat.  Reagan has wanted it for quite awhile….

I picked out a little cake for Keith and I to celebrate on the night of Reagan’s actual birthday with him.

Reagan had requested steak and corn on the cob for his special birthday meal.  Getting ready….

While the boys were building Legos I did my best to set up a festive summer meal on the deck using what I had on hand that evening…

There are two tables on the deck.  On the second table I brought the cake out…

Birthday dinner time!

And cake time!  We had ice cream, too. Yum!

Reagan was very sweet and made sure to bring Woody out to be with us, too…

He opened up another small gift later that evening.  Apparently I didn’t take a picture of what was inside.  It was a little Lego set with a surfer, shark, jet ski….

The next morning is when we left on our Lego Discovery Center Adventure.  I’ll pick up there in the next entry….

Happy Monday!
