My face is numb!

I went to the dentist this morning and got 2 filling on my right side.  My face and tongue is numb as well.  Which sucks because I sound like a (excuse the really inpolite expression) ‘tard.  Anyways…

The job situation has changed dramatically.  I went and got the job offer from Old Spaghetti Factory as a ,manager. And I promptly turned it down.  It was strange because I freaked out just a bit.  I could see my life in corporate nonsense for the rest of my career.  The long hours, the nights away from the house…..

Mike and I had this long talk, and we came to the joint conclusion, that if I continued on this career path that our relationship wouldn’t last, we just didn’t spend enough time together.  8 hours a week of together time does not equal a marriage…dating yes, but not when you live together!

My friend Cindy, who was also my first boss years ago, had  a postion open where she is the supervisor.  So I went and applied, and I think I got the job!  It’s a little less money than I make now 🙁

But the flip side of that is I will work normal bizness hours and get home about 7:30 every night.  There might be a chance that I will work 4 10’s instead of 5 8 hour days. So yay!!!!    I am really excited.

The benefits are also spectacular.  Insurance, 401(k), employee stock.

So, she said that her the big bosses approved her to hire me but there is one more interview she has to give, so if all goes well…….

I hope it works out for you, but did you consider telling the guys at the place you work now that you are considering another job because of the toil it has on your personal life? Perhaps they will be willing to make changes in your schedule and hire additional help, for example…
