I’m Back

I guess I failed at NoJoMo. Shit just got too busy with the move. The move itself actually went very well. I didn’t have to fight with my superintendent to get him to put the elevator on service, which I thought for sure I would. The movers were only 15 minutes late, and it only took them 5.5 hours, which I guess isn’t too bad.

The new place is great – new carpets, new paint – plus we just got our new couch and loveseat today. The dryer sucks and takes at least 3 days to dry a load of clothes, but they promise they’ll replace it for me. Otherwise things are super. The cat loves running up and down the stairs and sitting in windows. She saw her first squirrel the other day and was pretty excited. She’s being declawed on Monday. I’ve always been against declawing, but now I have $1500 furniture and new carpets… so too bad for kitty.

I’ve been so busy with the house that it doesn’t feel like Christmas. We have the tree set up and the house decorated, but for some reason it still doesn’t feel like Christmas.

It’s snowing like crazy today. I’m lucky that Shannon isn’t fucking useless like Dave was… when I come home the house isn’t distroyed, he’s actually cooked something, and the driveway is shovelled.

Jen is being a total bitch still. Her and Amanda have been partying with Anna [Dave’s newest ex] every weekend. I know they were partying together this past weekend and she called me from her home phone at 4am. I called her back the next morning and she denied calling me. She said her phone was in her pocket… but it was her HOME phone that called me. I brushed it off until I got home and saw that she called my home phone too. Yeah, you called both my numbers minutes apart by accident? I’m sure they just wanted to yell at me or some shit.

Amanda and I are suppose to be making Christmas cookies this weekend… we’ll see if she doesn’t bail.
