Return of The Liz

I met with Liz tonight. And as I walked out into the wind towards her I immediately noticed a leaner and more relaxed frame, with navy flaired jeans, and a shock of gorgeous strawberry-blonde curls and I instinctively knew that this was meant to be…

Neither of us had money for a coffee, so we decided instead to walk around Toowong and take come what may, and explore the streets at random. We sat at a bustop for awhile, with buses blocking the traffic before us, and toddlers coming up to us with the cutest of antics, before making our way to Toowong Village and lounging about in the big blue comfy couches upstairs.

We talked about anything and everything, she indulged me with the latest adventurous details of her life, and I told her of my recent holiday and our plans to travel overseas. She recently had a very Devil Wears Prada experience – worked for the worst woman in the industry for 4months straight. At the end of it she quit saying "I want to be a Director – and that’s why I’m quitting". The Director then turned around and said "Well come on-set for a few days then!" and gave her a full two days training and work experience himself ! before letting her go. How awesome is that!

Shit has been going down with the guys that she produced the short film with – the one she was working on when she was working at MA – because she wants more pay and they won’t give it to her. But Karma has a way of making things right in the end. Whilst she was working with these guys (they were all amateurs by the way, fresh out of Uni, with a few hobby short films behind them), along came a professional Producer who took an interest in what they were doing and decided to help them out. Well, guess what. This Producer guy has approached HER and asked her to work with him… That’s right! Not either of the other two guys are on a higher percentage rate from profits than she is, and who are being so stingy and not wanting to pay her just that little bit more for all the hard work and extremely long hours she put in! So IN YA FACE to them huh !!!!! Not to mention that she’s gonna be working with Eric Bana at the end of the year! Like how fucking cool is that !!

You know what I love about Liz? The fact that she just takes Life a it comes. She throws herself into her passion, which is the film industry and a personal hobby in Kineaseology, and just goes for it. She works on film projects for a few months, then finds herself totally and completely unemployed like she is right now, and just waits patiently and so faithfully for the next opportunity. I admire that faith so much! She says "The Universe will provide" and "Just waiting for the next job to manifest itself". She’s so wonderful!

She taught me heaps about Kineaseology, and chakras, and how crystals can help to heal the body, and everything like that. It’s actually pretty amazing, and she highly recommends I try it sometime. She’s given me her therapist’s contact number. It’s $60 for a session of "Balance" which is where they work to release your negative energy, and to balance out your energies, to relieve stress etc. It sounds pretty cool, I’m pretty keen on the idea.

Towards the end of our get-together I found out her bday is on 1st December. In absolute surprise I told her that my bday is on 16th December, and we relished in the fact that we were both Saggittarians. She was like "I THOUGHT you were cool !!!" lololol. I told her that I don’t often make friends with Sagg’s, that mostly I become friends with Scorpio’s and Librans. It was very exciting : )

She’s going to finally add me onto Facebook since I couldn’t HER. There’s just too many of her on there ! lololol. And that way we shall keep in touch a lot more often. I said to her that next time we’ll meet with Shannon as well. And I said I’d also text her next time we’re down at the RE.

I just love that she is a soul that I really connect with, a soul that speaks my language, you know. Someone with whom I can just talk about Life as a giving force, and vibes & energies, and passions, and someone to whom I can simply say "We’ll stay in touch and we’ll flit in and out of each others’ lives!" as I’m saying my goodbyes.

I walked away feeling happy and fulfilled, and knowing that this friendship was really meant to be.
