Bird call
I am not sure what this bird is. I’ve heard them called butcher birds, and also bush, or native magpies. But this is what I woke up to, this morning. Thought I’d share it.

I hate birds in the morning, or at least until I’ve had twelve cups of coffee.

Most definitely a butcher bird. They’re different from magpies, and have a hooked beak tip. They have a very distinctive call. We have several living round our area, and sometimes they sit up the end of our verandah rail and sing, while they’re sunning themselves. There’s a family of three.
