SOME OF THE BIRTH STORY

Hi everyone. Still in the hospital till friday or saturday. I am using my sidekick to write this.

Monday (jan 14) I went to the ob. My cervix was checked. I was 3cm and still 50%face but it was favorable. Than he told me to head to the hospital cuz I had mild preeclampsia. I wasn’t even allowed to go home and get my stuff.

I got hooked up the piccion (however its spelt), iv fluid, magnezma, and a few other. I had a IV in both hands. I had a cather put in to measure my urine output. Which later I ended peeing blood.

Monday they shut off the inducing med aroun 6 or 8.

Tuesday at 6 am they turned it back on, still at 3 cm. A couple hours later they broke my water. From there things progressed nicely.

I tried to due this med free but sadly it didn’t work. I got two IV meds. But finally I was scrwaming for an epidural. The lady who did it did a wonderful job. She numbed me first so I didn’t even feel it enter me. She ended up giving me more epidural later. But let me tell you when hit 10cm the epidural doesn’t work.

I had major panic attacks during the labor. (Which we think is because they fucked up on giving me my lexapro on time.) To the point they ended up allowing three people in the room. My dad, chris, and his mom. The nurses were wonderful. I actually ripped out my IV.

The ob ended up using the vaccum. I tore but they said I would of tore no matter what. I got a con’t stitches. (My doc said if I had put my axiety into pushing I would of done it all myself and tore less.) But who knows.

I ended up losing a ton of blood. My blood pressure dropped to 50 over 30. I was falling asleep, was forced to wear oxygen mask. They put some kind of heart monitor on me. They had the crash cart ready. They almost put me in the ICU because of how much blod I lost. Yesterday they ended up giving me a blod transfusion. My body was swollen, and I was running a fever.

My father and I had a wonderful time bonding while chris went home to sleep. My dad, I left him cut the cord. He was so happy that let him be involved in this birth.

Today I am doing a lot better. The cather is coming out, hopelly the IV too. I gotta get up and walk around. Which hurts like HELL. I can’t wait to take a shower and feel clean. I have to eat red meat for 2 weeks to get my hemogloubin back up. And see my ob in two weeks.

Chris’s mom is so funny about CJ. Yesterday she’s like I could just take him home and cuddle he’s so sweet. Chris’s dad was like wow he aint an ugly baby like some other ones. Cj has no baby wrinlkes, very smooth skin. My dad got to change his diaper yesterday, because I have an iv in my arm and its hard to do anything with one of those in your arm. Katmom got to visit yesterday and change CJ, she almost got to be baptized by CJ. She also got to feed him and she did a wonderful job.

CJ is a wonderful wonderful little boy. He only cries when he wants food, changing burping, or just wants mommy to hold. He has hair on his head, pretty blue eyes, can’t wait to find out what color they will change to. I can’t breast feed due to finding my lexapro isn’t safe for breast feeding after all. Oh well, he’s a pig on the formula. I rather be a happy mom than a wacko not on my lexapro.
